Other games weekend of 9-21/9-23

Bama has physically dominated Vandy in the first half and has been running over and thru them. Hurts is still struggling throwing the ball though.

Purdue with the int in Michigan territory, tied 7-7 and Purdue is driving.

Looking at scores right now and seems like a weird Saturday- some upsets already in the books and a few more are brewing...

still time for the trojans to do their thing, but cal has them tied at the half-- that would be good for us from a p12 south perspective, i think.

This is shaping up to be a nightmare day for the ACC and maybe the B1G.

Upset Alerts

#2 Clemson tied 7-7 with BC as the 3rd Qtr winds down
#5 USC tied 13-13 with Cal midway through the 3rd.
#6 Okie Lite trails #16 TCU 17-27 with 5 mins left in the 3rd.
#8 Michigan trails Purdue 7-10 at the half
#12 Florida St. lost 21-27 to NC State.
#14 Miami with a 17-16 lead over Toledo with 5 min left in the 3rd.

#7 Washington clearly overmatched and outclassed heading into matchup with Colorado tonight.

Having watched USC in its other 3 games, I think it's pretty clear that the Stanford game was an aberration in the trenches. Stanford has serious issues and USC is vulnerable.

That last TCU touchdown shouldn't have stood and instead should have been a touchback, but nonetheless TCU is up 17 again. OSU just can't stop them.

How CBS chose Bama/Vandy, which most people expected to be a blowout, over MSU/UGA, who are probably the second and third best teams in the SEC respectively, is beyond me.

Really it's just doing everyone a favor so they don't have to listen to that dumbass Gary Danielson.

Nice classic look. I assume this is some sort of throwback uni?

It's the Joe Roth game.

Cal QB who played through Melanoma as a heisman favorite... passed away shortly after his senior year.

He was a Southern Californian, so whichever of USC or UCLA comes to Berkeley is the "Joe Roth Game"... the uniforms are contemporaneous to his time at Cal.

Or Pac-12 games are going to be competitive no matter who we play. Might be harder to put away teams like in the past. Just take last night's Utah-Arizona game for instance. Only game imo that CU wins easily is OSU.

Cal has a shot at bowl eligibility, which gives the conference nine potential bowl-eligible teams IMO. Pretty clear step forward from last season.
