Other games weekend of 9/27-9/29

Was watching the Boilermakers pound the nubs and they showed how Purdue has a staffer whose job is to hold onto Nick Holt's (DC) waistband to keep him off the field. Turns out it is their head s&c coach. Doesn't Clemson do something similar for Venables?

Snyder turned that program around and sustained success on the ability to recruit and accept juco players. Since the ncaa rule changed for credits and what is acceptable for juco transfers, it essentially killed the Kansas State football program.

Outside of the Snyder JUCO years that program is a historical bottom 10 team, a team that most years would have to get a couple lucky wins to be bad. They were worse that a terrible Kansas program.

I don't think much has magically changed there. It isn't a place high on the list for top recruits, they don't have a huge base of support and the money that goes with it, they don't have a traditional power name.

Having trouble seeing what is different other than Snyder between them and their decades of futility.

Almost every team in college football uses the S&C coach as their "get back" coach, the guy responsible for keeping players and coaches from costing them a penalty. These guys tend to know who is most likely to be an issue.

I don't doubt that, I still can't ****ing stand them. That's mostly due to Lou Holtz and one of my friends down in Andrews.

I'm starting to become pretty impressed with Kentucky. They're taking South Carolina behind the woodshed. 24-3 late in Q2.

They are legit. They can compete with Georgia IMO (the final scores do not reflect some of their struggles).

What Hamler just did... I think KD Nixon can do that as a wide slot. Similar weight profiles and speed. Can bust it
