Other Games Weekend of Nov 26-28

@hokiehead @CVilleBuff

You sons of bitches suck at being rival fans. Go sit in the corner for a bit and think about your kind words for eachother and come back with some hate for the rest of us to enjoy.

Remember, @CVilleBuff is hoping that London is finally fired so he needed a loss today. And mad respect for Beamer.

WTF am I saying? If we were playing Nebraska, we had a sh!t coach I wanted gone and needed a CU loss to see it, and the entire Nebraska team + their mothers had all been diagnosed with cancer that week... I'd still want the Buffs to curbstomp them.

After 12 years of this including 6 with Mike London I'm largely apathetic. I also think this admin could quite possibly have been insane enough to retain Mike had he won. A win over VT would have carried weight. Pissed about losing, but it may well be for the best. Granted, knowing UVA everyone else will have been maneuvering for months while they just now start.

Wow ... Auburn apparently giving the Tide more than they want ... 12-6 Bama in the 3rd .

And Condoms-Bruins at 21-20 in the 3rd also.

Michigan State putting Pedo State away. Looks like tOSU won't be around to defend their title.

As bad as we are, we aren't Kansas. Losing 38-7 to the kitties might be closer that they expected to be in the 3rd quarter.

the thing is, UVA fans have never deigned to view VT as a rival. Most will tell you that Carolina is their rival; that VT is just not their academic or basketball peer; that we've won no team national championships. Not unlike how CU fans view CSU. VT fans are split -- my era, it was Miami that we played for the Big East, ACC and #1 rankings. For years before we joined the ACC, I remember reading on Thanksgiving, with the UVA game the only one left on the schedule, "VT's bowl hopes are more dependent on the {Syracuse/West Virginia/Miami/BC} game than on their own game against UVA."

I wish it was different. I wish VT and UVA had a fierce rivalry in all sports. I think we need AAU membership before they'll give us that status.

Locally Wyoming managed to win their second game of the season to finish 2-10 by beating UNLV.

CSU - Pueblo advances in the D2 playoffs beating Midwestern State 26-17. The #1 ranked team in D2 was upset today.

Okay ... this CFB day has pretty much sucked so far. CU losing yet again in a game that could have been won, and (for me at least) Michigan getting ass-reamed by the Suckeyes. And the Condoms clinching the South didn't help.

But ... (again, for me at least) the day won't be a total loss if the Cardinal can beat the Domers, and deny them yet another undeserved berth in the playoff.

Problem is ... in order to watch the game, we have to put up with ****ing Gus Johnson.

Oh ... and Okie vs Okie Lite and Flo vs Free shoes should be interesting also.

If Notre Dame wins, how is their playoff berth "undeserved?"

Hard thing for ND not being in a conference is that they can run into things like this year where the schedule doesn't end up being what it looked like it would be. Normally, opening with Texas, Virginia and Georgia Tech would not have people going "meh".

Let's reserve the semantic argument re what "undeserved" means regarding the Domers in the past several years and their generally inflated ratings and publicity for another time, shall we? I'd like to concentrate on the games for now.

I will say, however, that if they win this game at The Farm one can justifiably argue they deserve a berth. Still some football to be played though.

"It's been all Cardinal so far."

Really Gus? You are SUCH a tool. It's 14-7 asshole ... please find another profession, like as a used car salesman or a radio jock.

I've always viewed VT as the football rival, but I'm not a 65 year old named Carruthers who wears suits to games. For me, a football win over VT is worth 10x what a win over UNC is. North Carolina will always be the old conference gentlemanly rival (no Southern teams have played more), but they're preoccupied with their own in-state affairs. VT being UVA's whipping boy in every other sport creates the odd dynamic. As for VT joining the ACC, I was admittedly not pleased with how it played out at the time. I still see you as a weird cultural fit, though it's all gone to hell with Louisville, etc in the mix now. I'm at peace with it.

ND v Furd might be the best 1st half of football I've seen all year. This is a fun game.

And just switched to the Land Thieves - Pokes game and that looks pretty good too. And apparently Sparkles is having trouble with the Semenholes so far.

A great night in store for us CFB fans who want to forget (at least for now) the Buffs' season.

Oklahoma trying to make sure that nobody questions if they belong, killing Okie Lite.
