Comments from Travis Hunter and Charles Kelly about Cormani make it sound like he’s got a bit of developing to do before he’s ready. They were both complimentary but both of them basically tempered expectations and said he’s got a ways to go before he’s ready to be a starter

Why should they, the local media doesn't either.

Best way to inform them is go beat some people.
^^^^This...really what does CU have to lose? zero...I'll be grinning if we lose to TCU on the road by 3-6 points.
They can say what they want, if coach Sanders hadn't done what he did...held over players the TCU game would result the same as all of last season.
TCU has no film other than some misc Kent St stuff that isn't close to D1 talent.
I want the TCU win almost as much as the SC win, beat SC and it's the kiss of death heading off...."you got beat by Colorado" SC becomes the bird cage liner of the B1G....Iowa will want a piece of that action.

After gk pussed out on any real answer and basically cut off questions in regards to a media deal, I turned it off and I'm sure I was not alone.
Exactly what I did, gk blew so much smoke up my ass I couldn't stand anymore..in one day.
I've already put a feeler out to the SEC to adopt CU...

So I've been looking for a new bass boat for the last couple of hours...I'm gathering I haven't missed much.
Thanks P12 I found it in the time that I would've/should've been watching today..I'd rather spend my Saturdays floating around the lake than watch your BS broadcasts...so I'll tell it like it is...Trevor Woods will get 3 targeting calls and ejected, the Buffs will have 2 RBs with 80+ yards in a game but it won't be enough to satisfy....Clear as I've already seen it...Shedeur's first interception will be on ESPN.

Was this tongue in cheek or did you just check out on a CU football season because of frustration over the conference commissioner and network in a July press day?

What I've always figured. Anyone expecting him to start out the gate just looked at 5* and assumed. Anyone who covered him said stupid high potential, a lot of work to do before he's ready. Extremely raw.

He's nowhere near the class of Travis Hunter coming out of HS.

And I think we've got enough quality depth that the coaches can have the attitude of preferring to give a young guy his first start a week or two late than risking him getting a start a week or two early. I expect Cormani to play and to push his way up the depth chart during camp and the season.

If GK really doesn't have anything cooking, the media would all know that. So, what does he gain by telling obvious lies? When this is over, he will still need a job.

He either is running a huge bluff, hoping some miracle happens, or he thinks he's got a reasonable chance of a deal. What advantage is there to bluffing?

Whichever, he's got a big set.

3rd option. He thinks he has a reasonable chance of a deal, but he is wrong.

At this point, I feel like GK is playing the part of the nerdy character in a movie that just got asked to the dance by the hot, popular character, that is playing a cruel joke.

The bubble is about to burst, and it’ll be schools like CU that get the shaft. GK will have a golden Parachute to help him land fine at the next undeserved job. The PAC will fold up like a lawn chair, or sink to a G5 level conference and consolidate with the MW.

Hopefully there is a spare donut to use to keep the PAC going long enough to help get the schools that deserve a chance to get in somewhere else…BigXII/ACC, B1G, or SEC. With what CU has been doing makes me think the latter two are the real goal.

Holy metaphor overload

To be fair, by definition, 5* implies day one starting potential. (I’m not saying it guarantees a start. But to imply that just bc he’s a true freshman that it would be silly to assume he’d start isn’t the right answer)

You could be right, or you could be wrong.

The Seattle paper has a wall, but this is the gist of their story, and it matches the sentiment of a number of writers. His 'confidence' and bravado are just totally foolish, unless there's a decent chance he's got something going - and I know I am seeing a silver lining.

"In that context, what stood out during Kliavkoff’s brief, poised appearance at Pac-12 football media day, is the utter confidence with which Kliavkoff characterized the status of negotiations.

He’s either bluffing with the skill of a consummate card shark in the nearby casinos, or Kliavkoff is on verge of pulling off a feat that many viewed as highly improbable, if not impossible: A lucrative media-rights deal that would keep the Pac-12 competitive with the other conferences and thus appease all 10 of its members that aren’t bailing after this year for greener pastures."

The offense is going to be sauced up compared to last season?

The national media still has no clue on this roster.
Even if it had remain the same roster, they still wouldn’t have a clue. The fact is that CU football has been a 15-20 year non-starter for any conversation in CFB…well other than “what happened” or “The rise”, or the momentary blip Viska made, and the 2020 team. -Noyer/Broussard/Landman/Wells until the Utah game happened and the low fuel light or check engine light came on.
