Paterno is out tonight / Possible riots at PSU?

I don't know what comments you're talking about, but okay. I obviously have no beef with you, was just wondering more than anything. Oh and in case this gets quoted and zbuff see's it again.......................I give a **** what you have to say turbo.
There was back and forth, not me, between Kamel and others which lead to "CU players raped women..." I'm still pissed.

I dont see him lasting long money or not, dude has worked his whole life. Usually spells trouble when it comes to a screetching halt like this but not always. I dont feel sorry for him either, he turned his back on unthinkable ****. Hope he regrets it everyday for the rest of his life.

Honestly, I hope he lives long enough to understand the damage he has done to so may nameless children. All in the name of his legacy and PSU's image...

Honestly, he's lived with it this long, I really dont think he gives a ****. That and how some of his statements read left me scratching my head. I was like, "dude do you know what the **** you've done here?"

That's what I mean. I hope that being removed from his kingdom will give him time to reflect on how he got there. If he never does, that's on him.

Yeah true, if he has any remorse at all, it'll show. I've yet to see it. It's just gonna be interesting to hear about the stuff we havent yet. I know there's more, gotta be.

I actually want him to stfu. He's not doing anything other than making it worse for everyone involved, especially the poor victims and families.

Unless he's going to say he's sorry and he ****ed up, I don't want to hear it.

Now that he has lawyered up, thats exactly what is gonna happen. I hear ya tho and youre right.

From here on out we won't hear a thing from him that isn't read off a paper approved and probably written by his legal representatives or the PR firm they hire.

Paterno should hire Craig James' PR firm. ESPN will immediately run with his side of the story while ignoring all facts.

My initial reaction to this incident may have come across the wrong way. I don't trust the media, come from a country that the media is controlled by the govt. That why we need more information before passing judgment. Jopa deserved to be fired. Now that Jopa has being fired, can we now concentrate on the guy that did the crime and how to fix the system so that there are no more victims. Frankly am tired of talking about Jopa when the real dushbag is gettting a free pass.

Paterno remains a big story because it seems that there a major reason for what happened is the organizational culture he created and led for so long. Handling things internally with a bunker mentality and PSU being his fiefdom (while he became too out-of-touch and disconnected to be on top of everything) likely led to a lot of these problems.

Sorry... missed this one on Page 18 or so... PSU's ex-prez Spanier (often spelled G$pan) is a "trained family therapist" who probably has some experience with child molestation. But allowing sodomizing child-rape cases to go unreported was his choice.

I haven't seen anything that says that Spanier knew what was going on. I thought the flow of information stopped with the AD and the other guy who was charged with perjury.

Bump.

I have been wanting to use the term "dushbag" all weekend, but haven't found the right opportunity. Almost dropped it in Rugged's thread as I thought he was acting a bit dushy in Duane.

I may like dushbag more than idot. Can't get it out of my mind. With that said...Good night, dushbags!

Jopa made a mistake a terrible mistake, but can't still feel empathetic sad for a 84 year old that has done alot of good things, being at the university for 61 years to go down like that. But after saying that i agree with his sack, after reviewing all the evidences, not just what i see in the media. Now that Jopa has being let go, can we now focus on how to prevent this from happening again and punish the criminal. if you want call a dushbag go ahead, infact i welcome it, i welcome differing opinions.

judge that gave sandusky unsecured bond for bail was a 2nd mile volunteer.

Is this judge also the trial judge? You'd think that connection would be grounds for being recused.

I'd be interested in knowing how that works, though. Is the decision to recuse up to the sole discretion of the judge? Would a prosecutor hesitate to make a motion for recusal due to how it could bias the judge if he/she said "no" or cause problems for the prosecutor's office in future cases with that judge (assuming the judge took offense)? I'm curious how it's done.

However, I think in this case the public outcry would be enough to pressure the judge into stepping away from the trial.

So let me get this straight.

When this story broke, and folks on this site did their due dilligence and read all the information available and concluded that Joe Paterno participated in a cover-up that protected a child molestor permitting him to victimize other children, you said, "slow down...we don't have enough information to to condemn this kindly old gentleman that has been such a force for good."

But now that you've read the same evidence as everybody else (nothing new has been released), you've reached the same conclusion? We don't have to slow down anymore now that you've caught up on your reading? It's okay to make judgments now?

You never stop amazing me Bigbang. I'm not prone to calling people "stupid" or "ignorant", and I'm not going to start now. But if I was so inclined, I assure you that you'd be at the top of the list. Simply amazing.

Won't stoop to the level of some folks on here, i respect everyone opinion. i still believe we don't have all the information. I can't believe Jopa intentionally allowed a child molestor to commit those crimes under his watch. Doesn't make sense to me, not from a man that has done alot of good things for so long.

Don't be a pussy. He's stupid, you just called him stupid, and your attempt to not call him stupid was so unsubtle that even he probably got it.

I'm not condemning your opinion. I'm frustrated with your argument--there's a big difference.

Just as when you went on your Greg Brown sucks kick. It wasn't your opinion that bothered me, it was your insistance on repeating that same opinion again and again without adding any new insights to your posts.

Here, you condemned people for reaching a conclusion too early, even though sufficient information was available. When you finally bothered to read the information you reached the same conclusion, so then it was okay.

See the problem? Hint: it's not your opinion.

Shutting down the football program now being suggested by several national pundits. First lawsuit against the University now being prepped by one victim's lawyer.
