Predictions for RMS

Clearly not. Read the magazine.

Polk, Major and I think Pericak are the only ranked players from CU.

I find it funny CU fans can't even read

Damnit!!! The tool is right:puke:

When I was reading this earlier today, I was interpreting the discussion as player recruit rankings that Phil Steele lists next to each player on the depth chart. This is where CU has a much higher average, and higher rankings. I'll go crawl in a hole now.:sorry:

Sweet. CU is the underdog.

3-7 points? Holy **** no. It's going to be similar to the 2010 game.

Cu lost hansen, stewart, clemons, deehan. The buffs have trouble scoring most of the year and usually in game 1.

Not as confident the buffs will win easily this year.

You do realize how bad the CSU D is right? We may not score as many points as I thought (27) but we'd win by more than 3-7.

CSU players gearing up for their Superbowl. This is part of why I hate the CSU game

(On starting the season against Colorado)
“I’m excited for that game. We lost to them last year, which I don’t think we should have. Last year we didn’t play four great quarters, which we’re working on this year. I’m already getting excited; everybody’s excited. The energy around the locker room . . . Sept. 1 can’t come quick enough.”

(On playing Colorado first)
“It’s a rivalry, so it’s going to be there, definitely. Seeing it over the years, I don’t think it’s been where it should have been at. I think this year it’s going to get back to where it should be. I’m looking forward to all the fans coming out and seeing us as a family, trusting one another on the field again and having a good season.”

“I’m beyond excited. I just want to show everybody what we are doing this offseason. We still have doubters, I think we are picked sixth or seventh, so I just want to show everybody what we’ve been doing this offseason and how it will pay off. Going against our big rival, hopefully we can go down there and show them what we’ve been doing all summer and spring and bring them down.”

(On playing CU first)“It’s going to be a big game. Obviously that would be a landscape for us, get that win; that rivalry win. That would really amp us up and give us a lot of confidence going for the next games. It will be a big game, and we definitely need that. I know we are fighting for that every practice, every rep, so we’re excited.”

(On what the game vs. Colorado means)
“I don’t feel like I need to talk too much about what we feel about the CU game. We want to win them all but this one is our first one and that’s what we’re focused on. I’m excited. That’s actually the game I went out on so I feel like it will be a little bit of a vindication coming back for that game.”

Other than that, it seems like quite a bit of sunshine pumping going up in FoCo.

One interesting comment from their Co-D Coordinator

(On players adding bulk)English: “They’re not huge. Our guys probably put on eight or 10 pounds over the summer. There’s no 290 pounder. We might have gone from 250 to 260, but what they’ve done is hugely beneficial to our guys and what they need to do.”

Blah. The talent gap is even wider than it was the last two years, as we've taken steps to improving our talent and they still have the same woeful bunch in which it's considered a major coup to land a couple 5.2rr 2*'s in a class. It's cute that we're their super bowl, but we'll be ready to play as well. A vital must-win for a Buffs team hungry to find their way into a bowl game. We're 3-10 in the Embree era, there's certainly a ton to prove and I think the point will be made that this isn't a game you take off. It might not be pretty, but I don't think this will be a nailbiter. Buffs by 10-17 pts. 26-10, 27-13..that type of game.

The days of feisty CSU teams giving us fits a dozen years ago are long gone, as are the days of that last "coach" we had (and even he managed to go 3-2 against the lambs with two blowouts). Obviously this game means a ton to CSU, but it seems like even the lambs don't bring quite the level of intensity and hatred to the game that they did 10 years ago. I know many will disagree given how the series has played out over the last decade +, but I wouldn't be at all surprised for the Buffs to reel off a streak of wins to close this anemic series out, although we'll probably manage to stub our toe once more at some point before all is done.

That's not feasible!

Translation for Gasm. "Our midgets are a little bigger this year than last year."

Man, it must really suck having less talent than CSU.

LMFAO. Good luck with your two returning starters and starting 15 true freshmen

Just another tidbit of info for you Fluffies. CSU had the 5th most starts lost to injury last year in the nation with over 50. So our back-ups have valuable experience and our old starters return for the most part.

Our backups have more experience than your starters lmao

We have more talent at DL, OL, CB, S, K, FB and arguably QB and LB.

DL-Probably but its close with our new additions and you have like 3 scholarship DL. Have fun with your 5 true freshmen DL playing
OL-LMFAO no
CB-Our top 4 returning and again have fun with 5 true freshmen CB playing
S-True
FB-Don't use a fullback anymore. So congrats
K-True
QB-yet to be seen
LB-No. Fwiw Rippy wasn't on Phil Steele's mag and we have 6 LBs with substantial experience. Shaq Barrett. Nuff said

Argument fail

At least I can read (unlike Fluff fans)

CSU=more talent than C-Who

How do you figure? Not trying to be a smartass, but do you really believe that?

I didn't read the article, but I'll accept that Phil Steele may have said some nice things about a handful of CSU players, but last I checked there were 85 scholarship players on a roster and I'm pretty sure they still play 11 on 11. After your 5 best guys, honestly what does your team look like? CSU may have a couple players, but top to bottom it's not even close.

Some of our freshman DL are over 300 lbs and have 50lbs of fat, so that's good news, right?

Your vaunted OL gave up over 20 sacks to your pathetic DL during the spring game, right? Sacks are bad FYI.

Vaunted OL that had several key players injured and not playing. Plus they weren't even real sacks, they called a sack if a player got within 5 feet of the QB.

Ours won't be 18 year old freshmen. Argument fail

I'm guessing CSU's 5 DT's (2 of which you listed are 18 years old) have a COMBINED 50 DI snaps. Pericak is a 3 year starter, along with Bonsu starting as a frosh. Fail

I would just like to point out that Rippy is on the Butkus award watch list. Didn't see Shaq Barnett on that list.

Both CU and CSU have an OL on the Outland list

Tonga-JuCo National champion
Tejay Brown, Zach Tiedgen and Curtis Wilson have played a lot the last 2-3 years. All easily have 100+each.

Only need one DT at a time.

If Shaq Walker can be anywhere near decent our DT situation will be fine, but in the end we won't have to rely on True Freshmen like CU will
