I suppose you could make an argument we gave CSU the game (even if they beat us up in the second half), but Sacromento State just straight up outplayed us. Does not exactly qualify as a game we "gave away".
I define it as "leaving wins on the field" meaning you a game that you could of won if you make the plays in crunch time. Sac. St. Beat us with a FG with no time on the clock after driving from their 14 to our 13 - 72 yards in 9 plays. This reflects both on coaching and on the field leadership (both of which have been lacking over the past 7 years). If CU could of driven the ball for another FG in the 4th quarter of made a stop on the final drive....All teams are going to lose a close game once in awhile but good teams win more than their share.
