Speculation: to make sure it wasn’t someone trying to impersonate Sanders with a fake ID. But I really don’t know. That was my question when I watched that. I have only received one moving violation in my life and I know I was not asked for my SSN. I don't see how it is relavant.
Did the officers really not know who Sanders was? He treated him professionally and respecfully but it sounded like he had no idea he is a rookie football player for the Browns.
I was also confused by the mention of the officer was letting Sanders' girl off for ging 92. That would mean she was in a different car? Was she ahead of Sanders?
all clickbait. We all know the media is just a s***-show. Most all of the headlines mention SS's being cut, but then you read and the Vets are the one's out...
This morning, I read the news feed on my phone, the article said Pickett seems headed for the non-employee picket line as the Brown's opt for a $14M salary dump. That article said Flacco is an insurance policy and that SS and Gabriel will fight it out to start. Went to find the article again, and my browser moved on. However, I found two articles from "Across the pond" out of the UK and Ireland--which have GOOD NEWS--SS is safe and could start some games. Maybe Irish eyes are smiling on him, Dan Jeremiah/Mike Florio are quoted as Pickett out:

Shedeur Sanders in danger of being cut by Browns as $14M QB facing battle
Shedeur Sanders has been impressive in the Cleveland Browns' minicamps, but the team is expected to keep a maximum of three quarterbacks, leaving the rookie in a tough spotwww.irishstar.com
I love Heavy's take: Flacco and Pickett are the "clunkiest" of all. Is that a new team of football art?

Then we get Newsweek (do they even have a sports section?):

Browns Predicted to Move on From Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel
The Cleveland Browns would move on from Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel if one new prediction came true.www.newsweek.com
Read the article, apparently the Browns are just tanking with SS/Gabriel this season to get Cade Klubnik at #1 next season!! Anyways, speeding tickets aside, it sounds to me the SS is getting his NFL audition this season with the Browns. I've never seen or heard of either SS/Gabriel tanking a game.
On another note, our Denver post has a great Rockies article on Charlie Monfort, sounds like he might be back in the fold. I let those interested find it. But in the immortal words of Dean Wormer: "fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son." In evaluating news stories these days Caddyshack came to mind: [Rodney]: "you see Wang and I just bought property on the Great Wall, on the good side."
Enjoy Happy Monday!
This,all clickbait.

That’s one option. Stefanski will have traded DTR and a 5th for him. If they play Flacco this year, and then select a QB next year very high by, say packaging their two first rounders together for a top three pick, the Cleveland Browns will have done the following:I think it's as simple as getting rid of Pickett. They might give him some run in a preseason game or two in hopes that he doesn't look awful and somehow is willing to trade for him, but he's awful and likely to simply be cut.
Unless Flacco somehow revitalizes both himself and the team there is a very good chance they will have a top 3 pick without trading for it.That’s one option. Stefanski will have traded DTR and a 5th for him. If they play Flacco this year, and then select a QB next year very high by, say packaging their two first rounders together for a top three pick, the Cleveland Browns will have done the following:
Traded three first rounders, a fourth, and a fifth for Watson.
Traded a fifth rounder and DTR for Pickett.
Used a third rounder to select Gabriel.
Traded their 166 and 192 picks to move up to 144 to take Shedeur.
Potentially traded two 2026 round 1 picks to move toward the top of the draft to select a QB.
That is a crazy amount of draft capital.
The Browns…
Sooo si is all eh? HmmmI used to love going to Ead's and getting Sports Illustrated, especially after a big-victory on Saturday.
SI and all the other "sports" publications have become National Enquirers.
What can we say bad about Shedeur today?
I think in time we will see sticking around an extra year in college is going to benefit these college QBs in adjusting to the pro game. Not only will they end up drafted higher but they will have better rates of success as pros, and the NFL teams will see it and put more emphasis on drafting guys with more college experience.Ran across this article today. It explained a trend of NFL teams not taking QBs in the middle rounds. Then it talks about the NIL incentive for those with eligibility to stay in college another year. One thing that I have noticed in recent drafts is College QBs who transferred their JR/SR. year playing well in a new offense seemed to have their draft status really rise. I think this shows they can compete, command an offense, learn on the fly and a coachable w/ different coaches/schemes.

The NIL money will make that an easier decision. Instead of risking money due to injury they some will actually come out ahead because guaranteed NIL money is better than 4th - 6th round money for an NFL team that sits them then replaces them a year or three down the road. Take the NIL money, maybe get drafted higher but rarely lower, and still get their shot at the league.
His release looks a little quicker
