Shedeur know who his team is. When he got here this was a team that had a huge talent deficit compared to most teams we played. Shedeur knew that if he didn't take some risks and make things happen that we were going to lose. Nobody else was going to carry the weight and if we didn't outscore people we weren't going to win.I know that some fans get frustrated because Shedeur holds the ball too long, or sacrifices the easy pass for the deep pass. And his talent hasn't always translated to wins.
But man, I'm going to miss having a QB that I trust to find an open receiver and throw a deadly accurate catchable ball. I don't want to ever take him for granted. That dude is a magician.
He still has some of that mentality but it's worth noting that as our defense has gotten significantly better and recently as we have seen an increasing (still not great but increasing) contribution from the running game he isn't taking as many sacks. He is instead happy with fewer pass attempts and to make those throws quicker releases with less big play potential.
By nature and by talent he is probably always going to be a big play type QB. He is going to drive his offensive coaches in the NFL nuts but at the same time they are going to be glad to have him.
