Shedeur Sanders - 2023-25 Tracking History Thread

I dont think he goes undrafted. I do think there is becoming a real risk that he…
A. gets picked up to be a back up to a unicorn, is deemed a project, and *maybe* an aire apparent if he does well.
B. he is drafted into a crowded QB situation on a bad team.
C. He doesnt survive preseason if he goes too low.
Aire?

Geno is only signed for 2 years. It’s a perfect situation for Shedeur to sit and learn in his first and probably second year.

It’s also insurance against something happening to Geno. It makes all the sense in the world.
Oh I agree. But not necessarily high in the draft. Same goes for the Rams. If they draft Shedeur in the 4th they will seem like geniuses. But 3 or higher makes it seem like they’re not putting everything into winning a SB now

Shedeur is handling it with class. Positive tweet. That alone should tell NFL teams about him, he doesn't get caught up in the moment. Unlike Allbuffs, where I can freak out that Colton Hood just bolted 🤯

Yeah idk.

I think it’s more “don’t act bigger than the NFL.” Clear as day message. I know you said Manning got away with it but some things change

And some things don't change.

Eli Manning was also twenty years ago. Since then franchise valuations have skyrocketed and the landscape of ownership across professional sports has shifted dramatically.
I'm my opinion, IF it is a collusion situation, the "bigger than the NFL" by threatening "I will only play for certain teams" thing is what did it. The bigger thing in play now than Elway and Manning is that now players have leverage of "I'm staying in college and making millions on nil for another year" like Caleb Williams threatened last year. It's one thing to threaten and having to forego making millions, it's another thing to threaten and your compensation isn't affected substantially.

Edit: my point being, pre NIL they weren't worried about it as much before because life altering money was involved and they had all the leverage. Now life altering NIL money is already flowing and they can feel their leverage waning and need to make a statement.
