Let's get a Big, Porter, and a PG
Hey, that's what I was going to say!Really great season all around. Let's get into that portal.
Injuries at various times to CW, TDS and KJ cost us, probably, 2 or 3 games. Those losses then put us on the brink. Then the Pac was way underrated while the SEC and MWC were way overrated. That all conspired to make us a first 4 in and way underseeded. We should’ve been, at worst, a 7.Really great season all around. Let's get into that portal.

My point was also that injuries cost us 2 or 3 games. So, if we’d remained healthy we’d have had a better record and higher seed.I don't disagree that CU was underseeded but how you do in the tournament is not a validation of how good your conference was or wasn't. Getting into the tournamet and seeding is based on regular season results but once you get there it's a whole new game.

20 ppg was never realistic for him. Not his game. Not this team. But he would have been a lot better. My point was also that injuries cost us 2 or 3 games. So, if we’d remained healthy we’d have had a better record and higher seed.
Also, the injuries messed with our chemistry. We had fewer games working together. Especially CW. I’m convinced that if he’d have stayed healthy he’d have been a 20 ppg guy.
USC, UCLA, and Cal all got so much better as the year went on.The PAC, like usual, **** the bed during the out of conference schedule. Really hard to defend these teams in late December when everyone had some suspect losses and no or few great wins.
15? Hard for me to know what his skill set is. I barely have seen him play!!20 ppg was never realistic for him. Not his game. Not this team. But he would have been a lot better.
He was around 16/17 for most of the year until the Utah game where he played injured and had 4 points. Then he played spot minutes the rest of the year. He wasn’t quite a 20pt freshman, but he really wasn’t far off, and had the injuries not plagued him, it’s conceivable he could have upped it to 18-20ppg. He was starting to play more assertive.20 ppg was never realistic for him. Not his game. Not this team. But he would have been a lot better.
That sums it up right there man and look at the teams that Kentucky has been getting bounced out by. Tells ya all you need to know. With Cal leaving for Arkansas just made me think about the fact that Tad has made it to the round of 32 twice in the last 4 years. Think I got most of the names for 2 and above:
No round of 32 appearances in last 4 years:
Tony Bennett
John Calipari
Mark Pope
Leon Rice
Niko Medved
Lamont Paris
Scott Golden
1 round of 32 appearance in last 4 years:
Brad Brownell
Anthony Grant
Kevin Keatts
Kyle Smith
Grant McCasland
Andy Enfield
2 round of 32 appearances in last four years:
Bruce Pearl
Dana Altman
Dan Hurley
Matt Painter
Tommy Lloyd (only coaching for 3 years)
Hubert Davis (only coaching for 3 years)
Tad Boyle
Brian Dutcher
Shaka Smart
Jon Scheyer (only coached two years)
TJ Oltzelberger
Randy Bennett
Chris Collins
3 or more
Tom Izzo
Nate Oats
Brad Underwood
Scott Drew (all 4)
Mark Few (all 4)
Greg McDermott (all 4)
Bill Self ( all 4)
Kelvin Sampson (all 4)
Rick Barnes
Mick Cronin
Basically what Tad has done is extremely hard even the two coaches in the Natty tonight haven’t made it to the round of 32 in 3 of the last 4 years.
Only 10 coaches have done better a lot of them will be in the hall of fame and are at programs with a **** ton more resources, support funding, local talent
