like all things CU football in the last couple decades, bohn has made really good hires everywhere but here.

Riley going to LA is only great for the P12 if USC plans to stay loyal to the conference.

He wouldn’t be near the home run hire in the Big 10 as he is in the Pac-12.
SEC West I’d say so. The pressure there is nuts if Alabama and their largely historic run under Saban is the benchmark.
I can see USC going independent too. I hope USC stays, but I don’t see it as a certainty.

I am much less concerned with them going independent. No way the alumni base is going to put up with walking away from the Rose Bowl.

ND might get in this year, but only because other programs ****ed up, not because ND did anything special.

To be clear, my question and tweet posted wasn’t about him being scared, but rather smarter. Going up against Saban and Kirby in recruiting and on the field is going to end a coaches tenure pretty quick
Oklahoma is rat ****ed. By moving to USC Riley is telling the whole world that OU is not willing to commit to build an SEC championship program. OU is going to take such a massive step down in coaching quality. This coaching change happening simultaneously with a move to the SEC is going to set OU back years, maybe decades. OU could become the new Arkansas.
Maybe. They already have a ton of existing rivalry games and their exposure would be plentfiul being in the #2 media market. Their alumni are already front runners, so I’m not so sure that they wouldn’t be willing to jump ship.
