Good stuff. No reservations on this one
Are there any contracts not expected to be renewed?February 14th is current contract expiration day and I would assume new extensions as well.
Sounds like we have at least one more offensive coach to hire that should be announced today or tomorrow
Probably pretty close
The assumption is Langsdorf, but we shall see.Are there any contracts not expected to be renewed?
Pitt plays tonight. I won't get my hopes up, but Marion in as WR coach would be a great cap to the year.
Supposedly he’s expected to be Texas’ new WR coachPitt plays tonight. I won't get my hopes up, but Marion in as WR coach would be a great cap to the year.
Don't shoot the messenger...
With only one year left on the contract, they really have to **** or get off the pot (and that goes for both sides of the transaction).Would be the most UCLA thing ever to fire a guy after the carousel has stopped spinning, right at the point where he has them actually winning games. Oh, and the same year they beat the living **** out of USC. Yep, that’s about the most UCLA thing ever. I fully expect it to happen.
They might be thinking there are too many openings this year for them to be able to get the guy they want. Just let Chip play out his contract and then go hire somebody else next year. That seems ridiculously cheap to me, but again, UCLA.With only one year left on the contract, they really have to **** or get off the pot (and that goes for both sides of the transaction).
The problem is that you completely throw away a recruiting class if you do that. Except under very unusual circumstances (popular retiring coach with successor already identified and in place) lame duck years are death sentences in recruiting. They might be thinking there are too many openings this year for them to be able to get the guy they want. I have a feeling that LSU's Kelly will be their Dan Hawkins - wrong guy.
Notre Dame has 10 commits in this E/W all-star game on nbc.
He’s a douchebag but Kelly’s a very strong college coach. With the wealth of talent feeding into LSU, he’ll have great success.I have a feeling that LSU's Kelly will be their Dan Hawkins - wrong guy.

Doesn’t take a lot of faith. He’s been a big winner everywhere he’s been and LSU has made winners out of their coaches over the last decade-plus.We'll see. I don't believe it.

Ed Orgeron and Les Miles both won titles there. Kelly will get at least one. We'll see. I don't believe it.
They may not have the money to cut the grass on campus but they don't let football suffer lack of funding.Doesn’t take a lot of faith. He’s been a big winner everywhere he’s been and LSU has made winners out of their coaches over the last decade-plus.
OK, I’ll bite.I have faith that he'll be mediocre. And once again, we'll see.
I guess we’re wondering why you have the opinion you have? Les Miles and Ed Orgeron won National Championships there. Kelly is 10x the coach those two areI have faith that he'll be mediocre. And once again, we'll see.
A coach who’s won big everywhere he’s coached combined with elite talent is destined to be mediocre.I guess we’re wondering why you have the opinion you have? Les Miles and Ed Orgeron won National Championships there. Kelly is 10x the coach those two are
