**** the CU Athletic Dept for holding this game in Denver

I was there too. Coldest I’ve ever been
Interesting topic. The coldest I've ever been was either at Sunrise Lakes campground in Yosemite in late October after the high sierra camp had been disassembled for the year with a seriously deficient sleeping bag that was most definitely not up to the task or a water polo game at Western High School in Anaheim in which the pool heaters were not working in my junior year of high school.

I know that spot….incredibly beautiful part of the high country. That makes me cold just thinking about it.

For me, it was CU v KSU in 1996. I think it was like 5*, windy, and ice everywhere. That, or the night I idiotically spent a night outside of Estes Park in a tent, in the middle of a massive snow storm, with zero waterproof gear

The only game I've been to that might have been colder was Buffs vs. Huskers 19-19 tie. 91' I believe.

I was there. That was the first year of no beer at Folsom (I think). My buddy and I brought a thermos full of dewars and got hammered. How we got home was a complete mystery

No, I made the mistake of parking at a business off federal. After they collected money the vehicles were unattended. I will never again forget to ask if the lot where I park will be watched for the duration of the game
I've told this story on Allbuffs before. I attended the CU game at USC in (I think) 2000. I had a brand new shiny truck.

I was driving around the neighborhood looking for a place to park. As is often mentioned on Allbuffs, it's pretty sketch all around USC and the good people in those neighborhoods were charging to park on public streets. You know, just a street where you could normally park, there would be a dude or a group of people out there taking money.

I found a spot, and sure enough there was a dude taking money to park there. He asked me, "Do you want the $10 parking or the $20 parking"?

I asked him what the difference was, and he said, "you want the $20 parking."

So I paid my $20.

When I returned after the game, it was dark and quiet, and most of the cars around my truck were gone (presumably, they were driven away by fans who left before I did, though another possibility is that they only paid for the $10 parking - who knows).

My truck was still there.

$20 seems like a good price for protection.

it's a sales point that the recruiter tries to use as a differentiator -- "come to VT and you'll play at least one game in an NFL stadium to help get you ready for the pros". Sales points don't have to be relevant to be effective; the intent is to put the idea in the buyer's head that "this seller has something different the other guys don't have", or at minimum, "this selling proposition isn't lacking something that the other guys have".
This isn't a real conversation recruiters have. Just sayin'.
