You mean 12 should actually mean 12???

Quick Bob Bowlsby grab CSU while they are still willing to listen!!

OK, let the speculation begin. When OU's President comes out and says something like that, it's only a matter of time.

BYU, Boise, Cincinnati, UNM, Memphis and CSU - in that order - seems to make the most sense. You hate to be the third team in a two team race.

Think Cincy would be more desirable than Boise, but otherwise yes.

I think arguments could be made for and against any of those teams. Cincy doesn't exactly have the most rabid following. Although Cincinnati is a larger metro area than Boise, I get the sense that in terms of college athletics, Ohio State pretty much rules Ohio. I don't think Cincy will bring much other than a geographical partner for West Virginia.

That may be enough

Memphis seems like the first candidate to me. After that, I would say Cincy UH or SMU. I cannot think of a reason why the B12 would look west. The P12 has wrapped up the mountain and pacific time zones and the major TV markets. Plus, if the B12 looked west, they would be covering three time zones, a TV scheduling night mare.

If what Boren said is actually true, and that any addition of any school would add to the per-school payouts, it wouldn't be surprising to see some combination of UH, SMU, Rice, and Tulsa getting an invite. Why add to the travel costs and bring in potentially good teams when you can bring in patsies, save on the travel cost and still get paid more?

Exactly. I think the Big2 of the Big12 have learned the lesson TCU taught them, a former mid-major can kick your *** and embarrass you, so why grab a powerhouse mid-major? Some combo of UH, SMU, Tulsa (although I doubt Tulsa, have you seen their stadium?), Memphis, Cincy or Rice is most likely. I can't see them opening up the ffotprint to another time zone just to get CSU, or Boise, each of which would be an geographical outlier like WVU is now.

Say what you want about Bohn, but he was successful in getting us a P12 invite. I'm assuming that is why he got the job at Cincy.

Y'all are overlooking UCF. good travel partner for WVa. (plus traditional Mountaneer recruiting ground), 2nd largest university in the country, and the 18th largest TV market.

Plus, you know...FLounder almost transferred there.

UCF makes the most sense. With SEC making huge inroads recruiting into Texas, having a footprint in Florida would be the obvious response.

If CSU makes it at least we wouldn't be stuck as the only P5 school with a non-P5 "rivalry" game.

A lot of Okie fans will likely be pissed though since if this happens it means they are married to the B12 with no escape hatch a few years down the road.

Central & Southern Florida would be ahead of csu IMHO

Or...as I saw SD Buff post on another board is Boren laying some groundwork to get OU out of the B12 or send signals that they're willing to listen to offers? I still don't think its the right fit, but the BIG will be renewing their TV deal soon. I don't think OU would ever split from Texas, but what happens if say OU and KU go to the big...would the P12 swallow their pride and take all 4 Texas schools from the B12 including Baylor, that would solve the Texas politics if OU and Texas maintain an agreement to play each other every year.

Houston is threatening lawsuit. It will get ugly if the Big 12 expands but doesn't include them.

I disagree with your order... Cinncinnati, CSU, Memphis, CSU, BYU, UNM, Boise, ....It is all about the TV sets. CSU can argue the Front Range market.
