Thoughts on Eliot so far?

Second half scoring season to date:
Buffs: 88
Other Guys: 34

Most points in the second half by a single opponent? New Hampshire with 14.

So Buffs defense is giving up 7 points in the 2nd half on average, and adjusting for the pick 6 and garbage time TD against NH, they are giving up 4 pts/game in 2H. Eliot (and MM) are doing a phenomenal job.

Didn't read this whole thing, but I imagine most are on the same page with how good the half time adjustments have been. But after 5 games, I would really just like to NOT HAVE TO make half time adjustments
Halftime adjustments are always necessary. They only gave up 14 points in the first half.

The other teams coaches get paid too.

That's been my biggest complaint in previous years. Half time adjustments just didn't seem to happen. I don't know who or what the catalyst is, but it's happened in every single game this year and it's ****in' Allsome.

More so than any previous week, ASU will require a comprehensive plan to stop a pretty good QB, a strong, tackle-breaking RB and a mismatch WR.

Show what you got DJ.

By Dr. Jacob Callier

Reviews:
- Excellent read. Deep insight into the injury of a star player and the psychological make up of team chemistry in close game.
...Drew Lewis

- Fascinating. Couldn't put it down.
...Carson Wells

- Dr. Callier's writing is motivational and inspiring. When I began reading, I was merely hoping to gain some insight into mechanics of neutralization. By the time I was done, I was able to translate those words and imagines into real on-field ability.
...Javier Edwards

***im going to hell for this.

Eliot's long term hold as DC is still being assessed. While the defense has played well, there a lot of reasons why. The physical development of the players in the off-season, the D-Line coaching change, Landman, a senior defensive captain, a head coach who mentors defensive backs, some very solid J.C. pick-ups and the defensive coordinator calling good packages (particularly in game adjustments). I would like to see more stunts and the combined record of opponents is 4-19, let's revisit after USC, Washington, Washington St and Utah games. We will have a clear picture of how he is doing after the Utah game.

Sooooo.... revisit after the season when everything is assessed?

All of this was true also in 2016(well, except for Landman who missed more than 1/2 the game yesterday) when lil jimmy leavitt was MM's DC.

How many snaps Callier get yesterday?

Sorry - I was making a joke about Callier “intentionally” injuring Martinez v Neb. The joke then goes that he wrote a book on how to neutralize game changing players (QB, WR, etc). Then there are “reviews” by Lewis (who took out Henry) and Wells/Edwards who were the tacklers that took out Wilkins. Ergo, that’s how you stop “a pretty good qb and a game changing WR.”
Probably too deep.

There's a lot of thinking required on the day after a beer induced coma. Comprehension will be spotty.

Doing a good job in second half adjustments, stats don't lie. Next up, USC and udub, let's see how that goes.

B. First half defense is gonna get us killed in Pasadena and Seattle.

Yep, and the buffs won't be able to keep it close enough to win it close in the end.

Both teams will try to run it down cu's throat. Better bring those adjustments after the first drive.

It’s not like USC or Udub have prolific offenses. Have y’all watched these teams? They are wildly inconsistent. At the very least, it’s a bit of a track meet while the defense gets adjustments made as the game progresses. Our offense can run in a track meet.
Yep, aside from whoever the pirate throws out there, Wilkins is the best QB we'll see this season. Porn 'stache at USC will turn it over and Washington's QB is JAG.

The Washington game is not going to be a track meet.
