Throwbacks good or bad

I really really liked the throwback look. I wouldn't mind us playing with those a game a year. Thoughts
 
We're 1-0 in those unis. I say we keep wearing them until we lose.
 
The team is undefeated when wearing those "Horns Up" helmets.

nope. once a year is fine.

do it one decade per year.

for example... they did the 30's this year.

do the 40's next year.

the 50's the year after

ect....

not every game. the team uniform loses its identity if you do it too much.
 
I really liked them. They played like a different team with them on so I would be okay if they finished the season with them. Next season once is plenty.
 
Would prefer not so much a throwback, but a gold (NOT yellow-green) alternate home jersey with the black helmet and silver buffalo. Black pants too. What I saw out there today, coupled with Wyoming's gift of bringing the original AFL Broncos unis into the 21st century, was an eyesore.
 
I really liked the throwbacks. The silver helmets were a little much they're great overall.

**** you. I've bashed hawk for his losing and his use of our wr's. Open your eyes,read the board and you'll find many are doing this.

Sonny Grandelius put the team in black jerseys with silver pants and silver helmets in 1959. I like the silver pants and helmets. They would look good with the black home jerseys once in a while. The silver pants would also look good instead of the stupid white pants on the road whenever they break out that ridiculous all white look.

Sorry, I can't read your post from all the tears smearing the words. Keep it down, my head is thumping from the guiness I consumed :smile2:
 
Loved the uniforms today. The helmets were the bomb and I liked the silver pants. I say we do something similar more often.
 
Those helmets were AWESOME! I wish they were selling the helmets on cubuffs.com and not the jerseys.
 
The uni's were awful.; I had guest in from out of town and had to try and explain why the balck and gold were suddenly silver and beige. The helmets looked like they had a sloppy dick print on the side.

I didn't boo the team all game but sitting here in my basement now...BOOOOOOOOO for the unis
 
We did well in the 90s when the world really got to know CU football... How about we go back to those and stick with it?

This was legacy day that's why they wore the throwbacks. I don't think they have any intention of breaking them out regularly. BTW - CU football did exist before the 90's.

BTW - No, that's why it's called legacy day and not legacy season.

Do we need to confirm that each other knows a lot about the program?
 
Ugly. If we are going to wear throwback jerseys, how about to the late 80s or 90s? Saw someone wearing an old Kordell jersey at the Sink before the game and it was remarkable how much better it looked than anything recent.
