I always think back to the old days when the Miami QB was always a finalist despite the fact that he was usually among the worst starters on the team.
Team award, QB award, big market award.
Most years it is the MVP for QBs. The fact that Hunter is even in the discussion shows how unique and special he is.
They say it is the "Best player in college football" but there is no possible way that there haven't been years recently when the best player wasn't a QB and the best player wasn't on a great top team.
And a couple things I don’t see mentioned enough is that Travis seems like a genuinely great and enthusiastic kid, who is excelling in the classroom.

Calling Travis Hunter a fraud is like saying 2+2 = chicken. It’s simply not an opinion as that opinion does not exist.
The internet allowed those nonsensical opinions to have a loud voice and platform to millions of people who then spend their time bickering about irrelevant ****.
Ben had a few thousand followers.

Literally, this message was amplified by people complaining that Ben has a platform to share his opinions.
I think the Internet has given nearly everyone a louder voice than the average person had pre-Internet, but not to a large extent.

Strong words from a couple of part-timers.
Honestly, I think their point is that he jumps off the tape for what he does at CB but as a WR he's not as dynamic - just high level productive. More about which position for the NFL, but I choose to take it as an insult, get offended, and feel like Travis needs to shove it up their asses.

He’s had some catches that are elite, but maybe isn’t as fast or perfected to shine for the nfl receivers peeping a handful of games at this point. That jumping grab over two players last year where he hurt his hip comes to mind. Damn. If nothing else his hands are top notch.
Travis reminds me of Devonta Smith, but with more dog in him. "Bland?" That over the shoulder catch as he is maintaining his balance and flying down the hash last week, or the NDSU touchdown (PI) catch were not bland. His Utah game last year was flashy as hell.

What does blend mean?
I think that it means that he would just blend in with the other receivers. Make some plays, but not be a standout or the focus of the offensive game plan. Just my read - I could be wrong. But I hear a "d" at the end of "he". And "he'd kinda bland" makes no sense.
