Travis Hunter Appreciation Thread

I am interested to see how legit NFL scouts perceive Hunter
No specific scouts mentioned, but he says scouts are writing him up as both. IMO, it's less about the scouts, as he is clearly a top 3 WR and top 3 CB in the sport, and more about how the front office and ownership feels about subjecting their top 5 draft pick to double the injury risk.

To me, that's the real issue with Hunter being a full time two way player, not whether he can actually do it.

I think it’s that but I imagine they are just projecting him as either WR or CB. Anything on the other side of the ball is viewed as a plus. Is he a stand alone Top 5 pick as a WR? Is he a top 5 pick as a CB?

Honestly, I think their point is that he jumps off the tape for what he does at CB but as a WR he's not as dynamic - just high level productive. More about which position for the NFL, but I choose to take it as an insult, get offended, and feel like Travis needs to shove it up their asses.
WR he's not as dynamic because they aren't asking him to do the things that look dynamic. He isn't running 50 yard go routes, Shedeur isn't chucking the ball up there and saying "jump ball."

Travis is doing what he is asked to do and still making spectacular plays frequently off of them. He's running the intermediate crosses and getting YAC. He's running comebacks and slants.

And he's playing with a bunch of other guys who's strengths are running the patterns that look spectacular.

If the Buffs had a great OL it would make sense to see him working more homerun type patterns but that isn't who we are so he just is a stand out at what he is asked to do.

And at this point the people who really matter, the NFL scouts, are good with what they are seeing. The spectacular deep balls are almost gone from the NFL because they turn into INTs.
