Now let's see how Jeanty's defensive stats compare to Hunter's.
Didn't make the Thorpe Award Finalists, which is weird considering he's a Bednarik Finalist. Possibly the best defensive player in the country, but not the best DB in the country....
Hes playing in the bowl so 2 more times to see him. But last time in Folsom
I have no problem with Caleb Downs being there, he is clearly the best secondary on the best defense in the nation.
Building off a discussion in a different thread:
- If Jeanty played our schedule, I believe Jeanty would have around 1,500 yards and 18 TDs and would be playing on an at best, 6-5 team.
- If Hunter played Boise's schedule, I believe he'd be leading the nation in receiving with 1,300 yards, 17 TDs, a nation leading 7 INTs and would be playing on a 10-1 team.
That should end the argument DEAD FVCKING STOP.

Number two on that fan-vote list is McMillan who only had five catches for 38 yards when he faced off against a certain cornerback back who is not a Thorpe finalist.
Better chance that he gets drafted and sits out a year working out rather than sign with the team that drafted him.
And the chance of that happening is very small because rather than lose the value of the high pick they would trade him.
Something like this is more likely (but still only a small chance) to happen with Shedeur.
One of the impacts of NIL is that these guys are no longer lacking the financial resources to have leverage in these decisions.
I'm 100% for TH and know he is the best player in college football.
But, he needs a better advisor. The repeat Heisman poses strike some as arrogant and cause hard feelings. I don't mind them, just don't think they are a good idea. (the day or two before the 16 election, hillary told the networks all about her celebration party in a glass ceiling ballroom - I figured that was many votes out the window)
