Travis Hunter Appreciation Thread (Awards: HE12MAN, Walter Camp, Biletnikoff, Bednarik, Lott, Paul Hornung, AP PotY)

The social media hate is intense out there. So many people bashing CU, Coach Prime and Travis.
The bots needed something to do. It is not a lot of people.

You can tell because their talking points are the same:

1) Travis is “mid,” “mediocre,” “average,” or “slightly above average” at CB/WR.
2) Travis is “not even in the top-5 of either position.”
3) “Snaps are not a stat.”
4) “The media is only picking him” or “it’s a popularity contest.”

You can also tell because they never push back with any substance when you answer.

Gabriel getting an invite over Shedeur is criminal. The other three guys deserve to be there. Gabriel does not.

I would imagine he didn't get too many #1 votes, but at the end of the day I would guess that a lot of people who voted for Travis at the top of the ballot didn't want to put 2 CU guys on there, so they voted for other players at #3. (Assuming most everyone voted some combo of Travis and Jeanty at 1 and 2.)

Interestingly, whether or not there are 3, 4, or 5 guys invited to NYC has nothing to do with the closeness of the overall voting, but of the closeness between 3 and 4, and 4 and 5. For example 1, 2, and 3 could be all within 100 points of each other, but if 4 is 1000 points behind 3, there will be only 3 invited. Conversely, the winner could be 1500 points clear of everyone else (not sure that's actually possible, but for argument's sake), but if 4 is with a couple points of 3 and 5 is within a couple hundred points of 4, then 5 will be invited. Lastly, there is no point hurdle for being invited, though the max that can be invited is 5.
