USC's coach Helton is a douche

I’m not sure Nebraska was actually horrible when we played them, just that the result f’d their season. And I don’t think ASU was all that bad. CSU - yes. UCLA - yes.
I don’t think they were a good team by any means, but they weren’t a lose to Troy at home bad when we played them. Most of the struggles were due to having zero film on a Scott Frost Nebraska team, nor anything on Martinez. That’s why it took a half to get things sorted out and then CU dominated the 2nd half on both sides of the ball.

I am surprised at how the 5-0 record has transpired, but I think CU fans actively search for "disrespect" at times.

Darth said it better than me in another conversation: that entire thread portrays both fanbases really well.
My perspective on CU continues to be cautious optimism... kind of like having a dog that you've been bitten by a few times. Sure, the owner subsequently took the dog to obedience school and it hasn't bitten you since, but the trust level still isn't there.

Exactly the bolded. If the Nubs had actually gotten their much bemoaned game against Akron, the score is closer to 35-14 than 33-28.

We still had to come from behind to beat them.

Yes, because the first half was very much dominated by them, which was part of my point. A lot of unknowns in early season games, let alone it being one on the road, for the most anticipated game in Nebraska’s recent history.

Basically, I don’t think much negativity should be taken from CU “only” beating 0-5 Nebraska by 5, coming from behind.

I do not either. My point was it was a back and forth game throughout and a road win in week two needs no apology.
