Where do you stand on HCMM?

Where do you stand on MacIntyre and his future?

I believe HCMM should be back with some changes on the team. If not, he is setting himself to be fired after next season or getting the coaching ticket out of town.

If he doesn't leave, let's fire him. C'mon everyone else is doing it!

Seriously though... I hated this season bad enough to want to rip a huge band-aid off.

Against what my gut told me ever since the Alamo Bowl, I maintained that Mac wasn't the problem. This also went against my sources who told me that the players didn't really like him that much and didn't play for him so much as for the seniors and Leavitt.

After seeing the team fall behind 27-0 on senior day and 28-0 in a do-or-die game after a bye week I'm officially on the other side. Maybe some of the players were complacent and un-motivateable. But at some point it has to come back to the head coach. I really, really wanted him to go to Ole Miss.

Voted for MMac to take a job closer to home.
I still believe he could be a good coach here if he hires the right staff and is 100% committed to CU. after last night I'm not convinced he is up for either.
If he does stay, which is the most likely scenario, he needs to be all in and hit on at least three new hires.
The step back we took this year is part MMac not being at the top of his game. He needs to fix that. It was also part based on the poor hires he started with and held onto, specifically Bernardi, Jeffcoat Baer/Leavitt and Lindgren not recruiting a better OL, DL, LB and QB. That came back to bite us. MMac can fix that for the future if he hires the right guys. Moving Adams was a start and Elliot/Els have more talent now at LB. but, based on past performance, I don't see him making the other changes it will take to be successful.

The real question is what's everyone on here going to do when nothing changes for the next two/ 3 months? Remember how slow and methodical MM is in the offseason.

Yeah seems like we end up with sloppy seconds. Although he did get Leavitt so there’s that.

I picked 3, but with Ole Miss out of the picture, I think that ship has sailed.

I highly doubt he gets fired this year, after all, he still is one year removed from being national coach of the year, but my hope is that RG forces some major changes on him and lets him know he's got a year to make things right.

agree

agree he isnt going anywhere as much as i wish he was gone... to me he lost the team completely , his staff didnt get the job done, and his sideline demeanor was horrible..... if the head coach appears not to care why as a season ticket holder and a donator should i care?.... thus far it looks like we have squandered millions of dollars on facilities and folsom improvements for little gain..... rick george is the guy im counting on to fix this mess

I don't think he is getting hired away so I voted for staying if changes are made. If he is unwilling to make changes to his staff he should be fired.

I'd prefer 4 at this point but don't think it is doable with the money situation.

He needs to have 2 imposed on him. If he isn't willing to work with it then he finds a way to get out without us getting stuck with the whole buyout.

I don't care if these guys are his friends, they aren't getting the job done, staff changes must happen and not later.

I voted #2. I can’t fathom how a guy can go from coach of the year to incompetent idiot in the span of 12 months. He probably wasn’t as good as we all thought in 2016,and probably wasn’t as bad as we think in 2017. Seeing as it’s looking very improbable that he will be hired away, I’ve resigned myself to the fact that he will be back in 2018. He desperately needs to address the glaring holes in his staff, though. Unlike previous years, he can’t afford to take several mo this to make those moves.

Not just picking on Sacky here, but on what basis can anyone expect MM to move quickly on coaching changes during the offseason?

At some point you have to accept that he is who he is, and he's not going to change.

Hoping and expecting people to change is not a recipe for success in any endeavor, personal or professional.

Yes, there are unicorns, and every now and then someone actually changes. But to actually expect any one person to change is like expecting to fund your retirement with lottery winnings.

Well I think he made it a priority to get a DC before the end of the quiet period last off season and they had Sirmon locked up (LOL) but he bailed at the last second when Louisville made a change. With no bowl game this year you would hope those coaches he wants to move on from were notified yesterday they should look around for a landing spot because he will be interviewing people in the coming weeks.

and another thing. why does RG always get a pass?? He is the one that set the lofty almost unattainable goals, remember? so he is on the hook to get some work done also. If I remember the goals set correctly, we should be contending for a conference championship in 2018.

Louisville had easily the best offense in the ACC (most points scored both in conference play and overall), but fielded the 3rd worst defense leading to a .500 conference record. Could Sirmon have possibly been an even worse alternative than Eliot? And that was MM’s guy. Just wow.

Definitely concerning. Always tough to judge a new hire in year 1 but from what I understand Sirmon was looked at as someone who would help a ton in recruiting since he was the recruiting coordinator at USC and I think it is pretty clear the biggest issue on defense right now is the talent level up front. Until that gets better it is going to be rough.

Lulz. He is the one who inherited this crappy coach thanks to Bohn. RG has given MM everything he can to help him succeed

he's not incompetent, I don't think he wants to be here anymore and is not putting the same effort that earned him CoY honors. I think he feels like his personal character was attacked and his heart Isn't in it anymore
