Official ****braska Hate Thread

I'm genuinely curious why CSU and ****braska don't play more. Geographically it makes a lot of sense, and financially it would make a lot of sense.
Losing to us is bad enough on the fusker psyche; imagine if they lost to our little brother.

You see, CSU students fit into two buckets: 1. kids from Colorado who couldn't get into CU - for understandable reasons this group seems to like NU (low IQs and a predilection for sheep), and 2. kids from Nebraska who were too smart to go to NU, but once they got on campus and saw the "football team" decided to continue to be NU fans.

Which also means that nearly every fusker in Nebraska has a "smart" friend, or niece, or grandson who went to CSU.

So the cognitive dissonance that would afflict the two fan bases if they played regularly might break the universe.

Although the conclusion of the game sucked it was a ****ing blast of a time. Terrible and heart breaking way to lose a game but we had a great time and really didn't have any Buff fan trouble. A little heckling on the way out by drunk tailgaters but that's to be expected. Stadium was awesome and the atmosphere was great. My first time seeing your bison run around the field and that was pretty cool. Really only had three small complaints about the stadium. 1) Jesus you need more bathrooms and corridors are tight. 2) Getting a beer is almost not worth it as it takes forever. 3) Traffic was beyond horrible.

I knew it was over the minute we had to kick to tie. Our punter kicking FGs isn't ideal. Great day and great weather which was a welcomed break from the Florida death hell oven.

Finished off the trip hiking to the top of Mt. Evans. Saw a goat. Memories.
No way in hell you just ‘saw’ a goat. We know how you Nebraskans roll. 😂

I'm not ready to give up the hate just yet.

We talk a lot about the ****braska fanbase's hypocrisy. I think it's pretty well documented here.

Somewhat related to the topic is the thing that is driving my hate at the moment.

If a fanbase is acting provocatively, they shouldn't be surprised if another fanbase is provoked. But somehow they either are surprised, or pretend to be the victims of our ire.

Even when:

1. They show up bragging about "Folsom Takeover" continually flaunting the size of their crowd on social media and in person. That's provocative.

2. They chant "Go Big Red" through Alma Mater. Here's a hint for ****braska fans -- if a fanbase stands and removes their hats, maybe whatever is happening is important to them. A good guest would respect that, rather than drown it out. That's provocative.

3. My girlfriend and I arrived early. Shortly thereafter a 20-something ****er arrived with his friends. He announced, "sorry in advance but I'm going to be a dick" and stood on the seats directly in front of us (nobody was around, so it was just him, on this seat with ass in our faces). The last time I was that triggered by a fan, I punched a CSU supporter. I stood next to him and explained that he had a choice, and he actually didn't have to behave like a dick. He pretended to ignore me. I was persistent and he eventually sat down. He was fine the rest of the game, but why show up like that? That's provocative.

****er fans. If some students flipped you the bird, or some CU fans told you to go **** yourself, please don't be surprised. Most of your fanbase went out of the way to cultivate that very outcome.

I ****ing hate your fanbase, because you pretend to be victims of your own provocation. Go **** yourselves (flips bird).
I thought you were married now.

Not sure what CSU fans would do. Seems every other CSU fan I come across has Nebraska as their other team.

My guess is the same as when they played Bama after getting Sparkles. They almost seemed grateful to be able to travel there and get spanked. For a while there they were avid Bama fans.

Their love affair with Georgia, however, was very very brief.

He's tough to keep straight.

I am sure Nebraska would love to have CSU come play them in Lincoln but there is little financial incentive for them to sign home and homes. CSU can only get home and homes with Vandy, Arizona, Oregon State, WSU and TTU. They sign one off games with Texas, Michigan and Iowa. I will let you guess which programs Nebraska wants to emulate scheduling wise Lol.

Maybe the Pusskers will realize what a joke their program is devolving into and will hire this clown as their HC.

You put Air Force on a field with Nebraska right now AFA wins-Yeah, Fusker has a huge size and speed advantage-but they're the type of undisciplined P5 AFA takes advantage of. Why not go there if you're Fusker? You're playing a home and home with Cincinnati starting next year-for all the Kentuckians for Nebraska?

Don't be surprised if and when Nebraska struggles this week vs N. Illinois.

we beat kNU up and are in their heads. They better worry about NIU.I know I'm worried about AFA.

The Buffs are living rent-free in the Nub fan’s heads still. It’s pretty much a parade. I’ve seen the video of Buffs fans “taunting” Nub fans. You know, if someone invaded your house, made a huge to-do about the invasion, talked **** for weeks, and rode on the high horse of being “classy” you would probably throw some fingers up from the provocation, after beating them out the door. Also, it’s easy to show what some Buffs fans were doing, but what was going on from the other side of these cameras?

I witnessed a 40+ year old CU woman shaking the hands of any Nebraska fan she could, telling them "good game" and "thank you for coming to Boulder" and while it was received kindly by most nubs, there were several who told her to "f**k off" or ignored her altogether.

This and @ahoelsken comment are downplaying what CU did on Saturday.

I need to respond to this. Let me get one thing straight-that was a HELL of a performance Saturday. CU showed a ton of heart in that second half, and they rightly deserve to be commended for taking the best Fusker had in that first half and not getting knocked down. We also can't kid ourselves about the team we beat-Nebraska has some talent (We know what Martinez is capable of, Wandale Robinson is good, as is Spielman.....I could go on), but two points with them-One, they have ZERO leadership-look at the amount of yapping their players and Frost himself did last week before the game, and the comments Mohamed Barry made Monday on how "Nobody's going to care about Colorado when we're in the Big 10 Championship game" as cases in point. Two, they're not very well coached-look at the whining Frost did after several of their first six losses last year (he's done more of that this week after they got back to Lincoln), and look at the following from Saturday-

1) The penalty Frost took for coming on the field after Viska's fumble-Sure, you can argue it didn't necessarily hurt, but what the hell was he thinking doing that? I don't ever see anybody who has coached here in my lifetime doing something that goofy.
2) I've brought this one up already this week-the way Frost called their series in OT was flat weird given their punter was handling their placekicking. If I'm in his shoes, I'm trying to attack the CU defense and win the game. He was trying to play for a 2nd OT.

FHCMM cited LY's win over Fusker in Lincoln (first time I think he had beaten somebody other than Oregon State on the road excluding 2016) during the 7 game losing streak as part of his argument for why he thought he should keep his job-look what happened afterward. There's a TON of stuff to be excited about here, but we've got 10 solid teams (Air Force is very much a part of that-I for one have a very, very healthy respect for that program and Troy Calhoun) still to play.

Figured I’d pop in now that I’m back from Boulder and tell you guys congrats on a well-played game and well-earned win. The final result hurt like hell as Nebraska fan, but that’s what happens when one staff coaches fearlessly and your own staff coaches conservatively & scared. I was extremely impressed with Tyson Summers as a DC and the adjustments that he made in the second half. I wish Frost was a better situational playcaller who would adjust and anticipate the next move in the chess match, but that’s an entirely different conversation.

Boulder is a great town, Folsom was a magnificent place to watch a college football game, and I enjoyed talking to every Buffs fan I ran into. I ran into a couple in the Regent parking garage who could not have been more first class. See you guys in 2023.
