Karl Dorrell officially named Colorado HC

EB just won the Superbowl with the chiefs as the OC. It will cost us a lot of money to convince him to become the next head coach. He probably has his eye set at a NFL head coaching opportunity or continuing to learn under Andy Reid.

I think our best option is a college assistant from a top college program that is ready to step into the role as head coach. The reality is CU is currently a stepping stone program. We have to face that hard reality until we start to get to bowl games consistently.

How is he gutting a class that is signed? University has to let them out of their LOI
It seems a school that won’t let a signed recruit bail when the coach that recruited him bails is not going to have a happy crop of new recruits.

Sure hope RG doesn’t lure someone else’s head coach here. We’d look like a bunch of effing hypocrites if we were cheering about the new guy.

Saying Tucker was their third choice is a little misleading. Feldman said over and over that he had a ton of support from the people with power at the school. So while they probably let certain administrators go after Fickell there were plenty of people there that preferred Tucker.
I’ve been watching you all debate this issue. I was pretty certain that this was a last minute deal and just poorly managed bu Tucker and his representatives.

Not that it matters, but I’m not so sure anymore.

- MSU has been seeking counsel from Saban since thanksgiving.
- Dantonio really wanted Fickell to-replace him
-Dantonio not around during Tucker Press conferences
Saban tweeting support about Tucker today (Weird)
- Tucker says yesterday the key to turnaround is to own Detroit in recruiting!
-CU has 5 offers out to Cass Tech guys. Very unusual number based on our history.
- Mel making three recruiting trips to Michigan himself Unusual. But the 5 Cass Tech guys.would have been a coup!

Again not that it matters, but we been played!

We don’t have a profile for him in the Bazaar but I’m becoming more intrigued with the idea of Graham Harrell. It sure looks like he may have been the Chris Peterson to Seth Littrell’s Dan Hawkins at North Texas and getting a young, offensive mind would be great. Plus it severely weakens a division foe at a time when the Pac12 South is ripe for the taking. Bonus points for being able to stick it to Mike Bohn.

I am skeptical of anybody Air Raid/ Leach oriented. But, it would be marvelous to give Bohn a noogie.

Why does he seem like the only option?

Just because it’s so late in the game for a coach and he’s the hot name right now. The other options we’ve seen to me look awful. Seems like it’s his to lose which I’m just not excited about.
