Assistants

Is having continuity with coaches helpful? Seems like it's a good thing the D won't have to adjust to another new scheme, verbiage, coaching style etc. Or is that overrated?

I am ok with the ones KD kept, I think they were all good choices to stay.
Now, I cant wait to hear about OL, DL, and OC!

Wouldn’t be surprised if Chiv is still the OC. Maybe with KD caking plays or at least heavy influence. Not saying that’s the way to go but maybe he had to for Chiv to stay. Who knows

I agree about Chev. KD said on the radio the other day he really doesnt want to call plays. He wants the OC to do that. However, given the situation, who knows.

Anyone have an opinion of Jack Harris? His coaching chops? Being an assistant with the OL and under Kap for a year, would he have the ability to step up?

So theoretically the 4 we retained won’t receive pay bumps. That means our budget for the remaining six coaches is roughly $100k more than it was per coach last year

Not surprising I guess. If he is a legit HC candidate for anyone down the road than we should see some success this year

KD did talk about coaching up his coaches for promotions. I am sure there will be a learning curve for Chev. As long as there is not a Co coordinator. KD can coach him up and see what happens. They will have 2 games to get if figured out. If he is struggling KD will take over I am sure.

Would want to see KD sit down and get a full explanation of what the hell happened in 2018 when the offense quit working halfway thru the season.
Up until that time, Chev looked like the brightest young OC in the country (for about 5 games). Adams also went from fan fav to turd during that period.

Did the other teams decode the signals or what? "So tell me Chev, what actually happened and why? How can we make sure that never happens again?"
