2020 CU football season POSTPONED until Nov 6th?

I’m talking about reporters being able to find the information through FOIA requests and then specific schools putting student athletes at other schools at risk by hiding something like that. Talk about a liability nightmare
How are the SEC, ACC and Big 12 handling positive tests? I've heard broad numbers of positive tests, but haven't heard specific players being mentioned.

 Isn't there a flu vaccine?

Look, you've made it clear that you favor the Pac 12 starting play tomorrow. That doesn't excuse just making up stupid **** to support your preferred scenario.

Okay for you too-Cold/Flu season runs from October-March, but it peaks December-February. Given at least some strains of the cold spawn from coronaviruses.........shouldn't we as Americans prepare to see an increase in COVID activity during cold/flu season? Wouldn't that mean probably more COVID cancellations in Jan and Feb than even RN?

.

Pac12 is a better cultural fit. Pac12 is a better recruiting fit. Pac12 is a better athletic fit. CU has just been ****. We would be just as awful and just as unhappy in the B1G or the BigXII
You forgot the part where we'd have the money to keep our coach instead of losing him to a doubled salary and resource pool, if we were in the B1G.
Kind of important to include that.

I’m saying if a school hides a positive test and let’s a player play while sick. Not if they are public with their results.

Stopped by the burrito stand. I was told to not be surprised if campus closed down for a couple weeks here soon.

Now you're giving Larry Scott credit for foresight? Nothing surprises me with the leadership of this conference anymore.

Larry Scott is pretty terrible, but this is not rocket science on how to respond.

Whatever. This discussion will go nowhere as pretty much all Pac-12 discussions on this board usually go.

CA NFL teams received an exemption from the state because of their daily testing capabilities and 1 hour antigen results. In theory, the Pac 12 also has daily testing capabilities and 15 minute antigen results. How is this not a done deal with an announcement of a schedule to return to play?

What do you want him to do/say?

Come out and say they're working with the government in CA and Oregon about getting an exception to return to play and the target date for doing so. Like @Duff Man said they should've been ready for this announcement by the B1G. Today's news didn't suddenly drop like a bombshell out of nowhere, it's been rumored for a couple weeks now and it's only been a matter of their start date since Saturday.

Wilner is right, the Pac12 needs to get back on the field by mid-November even though the CFB is off the table.

I'm with Wilner on this one. If CA will not let CA teams practice, they need to up and leave. The Pac 12 has to play this fall now that the BIG is going to play.

It doesn’t matter about hippa, it is about putting a player on the field that has tested positive.
I personally don't think that is the issue. I think the issue, and I could be wrong with what everyone else is interpreting, but it seems to be the length of quarantine is probably what everyone would hide. I don't think any School wouldn't quarantine, say a Justin Fields. They don't want the rest of the team to get sick or exposed. I just think the amount of days is probably what everyone will fudge. That many days at this point is almost half the season and when you are talking about an important player, I have no doubt that a program like OSU would most certainly hide that.

CU campus didn’t effectively change anything. Students are still going to the same classes they were before and research continues. They just asked students to stop getting together. I don’t expect much to change.

The problem is all off-campus, as expected. My guess is that CU admin makes examples out of some kids this week to try and get kids off campus to wake up.

NFL uses daily PCR, no?

Bubble also helped their variance I suspect.
