Will any of those people die because Duke played Notre Dame in football last week?Money talks.
1K dead people from COVID-19 today won’t talk anymore.

How are the SEC, ACC and Big 12 handling positive tests? I've heard broad numbers of positive tests, but haven't heard specific players being mentioned.I’m talking about reporters being able to find the information through FOIA requests and then specific schools putting student athletes at other schools at risk by hiding something like that. Talk about a liability nightmare
**** that. They need to respond within 24 hours.Pac12 has 1 week to respond
Isn't there a flu vaccine?
Look, you've made it clear that you favor the Pac 12 starting play tomorrow. That doesn't excuse just making up stupid **** to support your preferred scenario.
You forgot the part where we'd have the money to keep our coach instead of losing him to a doubled salary and resource pool, if we were in the B1G.Pac12 is a better cultural fit. Pac12 is a better recruiting fit. Pac12 is a better athletic fit. CU has just been ****. We would be just as awful and just as unhappy in the B1G or the BigXII
Now you're giving Larry Scott credit for foresight? Nothing surprises me with the leadership of this conference anymore. The Pac-12 had to have figured this was coming. Get the west coast teams playing OOS and get started on Halloween.
I’m saying if a school hides a positive test and let’s a player play while sick. Not if they are public with their results. How are the SEC, ACC and Big 12 handling positive tests? I've heard broad numbers of positive tests, but haven't heard specific players being mentioned.
But we'd have a hell of a lot more money, at least in the BIGPac12 is a better cultural fit. Pac12 is a better recruiting fit. Pac12 is a better athletic fit. CU has just been ****. We would be just as awful and just as unhappy in the B1G or the BigXII
They did respond.**** that. They need to respond within 24 hours.
The writing has been on the wall for days now.
See protocolYeah, I'm sure tOSU is going to report a positive test for Justin Fields
**** that. They need to respond within 24 hours.
The writing has been on the wall for days now.
Yes.Why? It's a self-imposed rule from the BIG, not a legal mandate. Is the BIG going to do anything to tOSU if it's found out?
I guess it would be the first time CFB programs have ever broken protocolSee protocol
Larry Scott has already responded. Well, not really...
Now you're giving Larry Scott credit for foresight? Nothing surprises me with the leadership of this conference anymore.
HIPAAHow are the SEC, ACC and Big 12 handling positive tests? I've heard broad numbers of positive tests, but haven't heard specific players being mentioned.
Hipaa could play a role in not releasing any medical info on a student athlete.I’m saying if a school hides a positive test and let’s a player play while sick. Not if they are public with their results.
CA NFL teams received an exemption from the state because of their daily testing capabilities and 1 hour antigen results. In theory, the Pac 12 also has daily testing capabilities and 15 minute antigen results. How is this not a done deal with an announcement of a schedule to return to play?Larry Scott is pretty terrible, but this is not rocket science on how to respond.
Whatever. This discussion will go nowhere as pretty much all Pac-12 discussions on this board usually go.
It doesn’t matter about hippa, it is about putting a player on the field that has tested positive.Hipaa could play a role in not releasing any medical info on a student athlete.
Wasn't there a tweet yesterday about this?Stopped by the burrito stand. I was told to not be surprised if campus closed down for a couple weeks here soon.
there's a weird voluntary quarantine going on now. no shut downs announced yet that I know of. But maybe I miamied it.Wasn't there a tweet yesterday about this?
What do you want him to do/say?
I'm with Wilner on this one. If CA will not let CA teams practice, they need to up and leave. The Pac 12 has to play this fall now that the BIG is going to play.Wilner is right, the Pac12 needs to get back on the field by mid-November even though the CFB is off the table.
Hotline: With the Big Ten restarting, the Pac-12 stands alone. Whatever it takes, the conference must play this fall
What coronavirus? The Big Ten lifted its football suspension and will play in October. The Pac-12 must follow, even if it requires the California schools to change addresses.www.mercurynews.com
I personally don't think that is the issue. I think the issue, and I could be wrong with what everyone else is interpreting, but it seems to be the length of quarantine is probably what everyone would hide. I don't think any School wouldn't quarantine, say a Justin Fields. They don't want the rest of the team to get sick or exposed. I just think the amount of days is probably what everyone will fudge. That many days at this point is almost half the season and when you are talking about an important player, I have no doubt that a program like OSU would most certainly hide that.It doesn’t matter about hippa, it is about putting a player on the field that has tested positive.
CU campus didn’t effectively change anything. Students are still going to the same classes they were before and research continues. They just asked students to stop getting together. I don’t expect much to change.Stopped by the burrito stand. I was told to not be surprised if campus closed down for a couple weeks here soon.
1 more week is my predictionthere's a weird voluntary quarantine going on now. no shut downs announced yet that I know of. But maybe I miamied it.
The problem is all off-campus, as expected. My guess is that CU admin makes examples out of some kids this week to try and get kids off campus to wake up.CU campus didn’t effectively change anything. Students are still going to the same classes they were before and research continues. They just asked students to stop getting together. I don’t expect much to change.
NFL uses daily PCR, no?CA NFL teams received an exemption from the state because of their daily testing capabilities and 1 hour antigen results.
