Official 2020 Fall Camp Thread

The depth chart has Miller at star and Perry at strong safety. Will be interesting to see how that plays out, especially with almost no depth at safety.

Lytle, Noyer, and Lewis are all listed as, 'Or'. Nice

Clayton not even on the depth chart. Probably nothing

Pretty sure the only true freshman who are on the depth chart are the early enrollees

Lots of potential on the interior.

OT is a horror show.
Hopefully the rumors about Senn stepping up are true. Wray will probably need to play a full game at some point this year and good to see Nikko at 285 coming out of his redshirt year, that is a good 20 pound difference from where he started (probably more) and he should be able to contribute next year.

Didn’t Ray play some Tackle last year? Seems like an emergency option
I'm pretty excited to see a healthy Ray. He has a mean streak that the oline needs and hopefully rubs off on everyone else.

There are pieces in this program to be a 6-8 win program the next 2-3 years. Depth needs to get better at defensive back, tackle, and need to find a QB. Pass rush has always been an issue except for one year, but Michalowski seems to be fixing that. That defensive front 7 is going to be nasty going forward and will probably be the teams strongest point. The biggest question of all is replenishing the well overall going forward.

I’m also not as confident in the receivers as I thought I would be. We have stanley and nixon, who have proven they can play and they a bunch of question marks who haven’t seen the field much. Love arias’s potential but the way he disappeared last year was concerning. Keith Miller doesn’t have great shot area quickness but his straight line speed was good with a large frame so losing him to a veteran tight end group doesn’t help either. Also hoping pell can step in and help in the passing game at linebacker, has good size/speed and we will need him and van diest to step into a huge roll in 2021.

what a difference a year makes with the other ILB though, I really like the akil Jones/ham combo there. Summers has the tools to get these guys playing well in his second year and I love watching defensive lead teams.

The football version of Tadball would be fine by me. I just hope they can pull it off.

Akil Jones is a senior. I guess he could come back next year since this is technically not a season

Agree on both positions. I do not think WR is devoid of talent by any stretch, but not sure it is as loaded as most think.

ILB looks good. Pell has a lot of potential and the other spot looks good too. You add in Mister Williams (listed at 245 now) and you have another potential contributor in 2021. A long ways from the Gamboa show.

I think JVD can provide a veteran presence and really good depth, but if he's starting in 2021, I think we have problems at ILB.

As for WR, all the potential in the world, but definitely a lack of experience. I think Rice will quickly force himself onto the field

Yeah. JVD is a great athlete but he's looked lost every time he's been on the field to this point.

And maybe some of that was due to the defense and the fact that everyone looked lost at the beginning of last year, but I honestly felt like his athleticism was exposed against Nebraska last year, specifically the swing pass to their RB that went for an 80 yard TD right after KD's flea flicker TD.

Feels like he's an old school Big 12 CU ILB, not one made for covering RBs in the Pac 12, but hopefully he proves me wrong. I just think he's been recruited over at this point.

What's the bull case for Lytle? He seemed like a pretty good recruit and has been in the system forever. Is there any evidence to support him surprising on upside?
