Official ****braska Hate Thread

TLDR TLDR

So, Nebraska is dealing with some ****ery at WR lol. They have RB/WR Wandale Robinson, who is their 3rd best player (at worst), who they hope to play more at WR this year because he gets banged up running between the tackles (he’s hurt right now but they’re hopeful he will be ready for tOSU). After him, it gets dicey. They lose record holding WR, JD Spielman, to transfer because he hated how Frost trashed Riley and Riley players. Nebraska fans and writers aren’t concerned at all because they landed 4* JUCO, “NFL ready,” Omar Manning. Frost immediately hyped him up as the savior of the offense and was clearly ecstatic because they’ve had issues in the RZ with all the tiny WRs they have. But I did mention ****ery and they’re dealing with a ton of it with Omar Manning. Insiders are predicting at best, he won’t play for them this year, and that his career at Nebraska is in jeopardy. Frost is leaving the door open for him tho because he DESPERATELY needs Manning. They have a 4* WR from Florida who was in the rumor mill as a possible transfer but is back on campus. However, he’s “far behind and doesn’t seem to care.” They have two 4* WRs from last year’s class that never get mentioned by coaches or writers in camp write-ups. What does this all mean? Well they have 2 walk-ons in the top 3 right now. Of course, Nebraska fans think these 2 walk-ons are exceptional and maybe they are. Sounds like they are solid, dependable possession WRs. But all the SPEED that Frost touts seems to be MIA.

Despite all these issues, the #1 offense is BULLYING Nebraska’s starting defense in practice. They replace their entire DL, they still have zero pass rush and only 1 dependable OLB in a 3-4 (this is easily their weakest position), and their ILBs suck because they pulled a CU and hired a former player with no coaching experience to coach the position. They’re hoping a walk-on ILB will take over for a JAG they have starting. They have 4 reliable DBs and are rushing along a walk-on because they desperately need to be able to play 5 at times. Cannot absorb an injury at CB or S.

They all think 5 wins at the minimum but my friend says 4 and he’s always 1 win too optimistic. We will see. I’d take the over in game 1 lol.

Sounds like they are ready for the Buckeyes.

Doesn't sound good for the Husker D...pretty hilarious that they had that blackshirt video of their upcoming uniforms.

Just remember that Oregon State had one HC quit on the team and took a few more years before HC Smith got the Beavers to being decent again after Riley left for Lincoln. I think that's a four to a five year job in Lincoln and I think they already gave Frost another two years if I'm not mistaken...he's going to need those extra years to turn the Huskers around. Frost probably gets a pass for this year but he's going to have to show something next year or his seat starts warming up if it hasn't done by now.

October 24th cannot get here fast enough.

Frost is doing exactly what we all hoped he would do.

So the B1G is not allowing fans in the stands this year, yet kNU is having an INDOOR watch party at their basketball arena for their first beatdown? The absolute idiocy never fails to surprise.

They decided to cancel it after getting a lot of backlash

I won't be watching a single minute of CFB this year prior to the Ohio State beatdown of Nubs next weekend. That will be my kickoff.
I'm spending any free time I have volunteering thru early November. But I am definitely watching the Red clowns go down in 9 more days.

1) Nebraska AD, Bill Moos, is STILL complaining about the schedule they got lol.
2) Mentioning Ohio State is ****ing hilarious considering their crossover games are NEBRASKA and Illinois. They do have it easy!
3) “You’ve got Urban Meyer and Jim Harbaugh thinking, ‘We better put a little more into that Nebraska game coming up.’ And that’s the way we want it. They’re running a little bit scared right now,” Moos said via the Omaha World-Herald. “And they won’t admit it. We’ll leave that at that.”

Frost says they have two first string QBs...doesn't conventional football wisdom state that if you have two QBs, you don't really have a QB after all?

It stands to reason: they have two first string head coaches, too. Dr Tom will always be the head coach there. Or, at least he will be the co-head coach.

Dr. Tom is busy trying to keep Gambling and Marijuana away from the good folks of Nebraska. It has been his lifelong goal to save them all!

Is the suggestion that somehow nebraska should be shoving more fat people into a stadium than other schools? nebraska is a hotspot for COVID. If anything, their attendance should be suppressed.

There might be 100,000 in downtown Lincoln out on the streets drinking heavily during the first home game against Wisconsin on October 31st (Halloween). Prepare for the largest and spookiest Super Spreader EVER!!! Should hear a cheer echo during the broadcast from nearby the stadium.

Nebraska had the chance to hire a guy like Chris Klieman (NDSU, now at KSU) and instead went for the showboat of Frost.

Klieman has KSU improving each week he's been there. Frost is just running his mouth. Yes, he's had some recruiting wins (on paper) but most have turned out to be problematic headcase. Sometimes, recruiting rankings can just make fans feel better for awhile but actually not improve the team. Frost, being the ultimate fraud has done just that. He will go down as their Dan Hawkins. Can't wait for the tOSU game!

Lol let's not play hindsight... Frost was the hottest candidate in the country that cycle and had his choice of destinations. Conversely, most people here laughed and crushed KSU for hiring Klieman.

Scott Frost would have torn it up at Florida or Oregon (both of those jobs were open in December 2017) had he gone there. His lack of success in Lincoln isn't a black mark on him as a coach-it just goes to show how tough a job Nebraska now is.

There was a time when Mike Mac was the hottest candidate. And countless others who've turned out to be more s*** on a big pile of s***. See, for example, Chuck Fairbanks.

Point is, a whole lot of guys are examples of THE coach turning out to be no such thing.
