CU vs Utah 12/12 10:00 AM Fox BIG NOON SATURDAY - GAME THREAD

well ....not thrilled but at least I got the Xfinity app working on my phone so now I hope we are slow Saturday a.m.at work

The thing I like and fear about playing Utah every year is that there's no real secret about Utah. They do what they do, and you either can stop it, or you can't.

They're going to try to dominate the LOS on both sides of the ball, they're going to play solid special teams, and they're going to punch us in the mouth.

There's no air raid offense, no gimmicky defense, not a lot of trick plays. They just line up across from you and make you try to beat them.

This game will tell us a lot about coaching, it'll tell us a lot about our leadership, and it will tell us a lot about how tough we are.

I think it's a winnable game. Utah lost a lot of guys from last year, and this will still only be their 3rd game of the season. It's also a loseable game, too, though. The defense needs to be as stout as it's been all year, and Noyer is going to have to soften up Utah's LBs.
If it makes you feel any better, we're not going to beat you with Special Teams. That USED to be a strength for Utah, but not so much anymore. Now we're very average at that phase in the game.

Utah reminds me of Wisconsin. Solid hard nosed football.

Utah=BYU- Lite

hey this is pretty ****ing cool. prime window national game! great opportunity. win impressively and then things could get pretty interesting. that's a great ****ing opportunity.

Does the new time and channel make anyone else inordinately nervous?

I have no reason to think it isn't as much a help (by firing the team up, etc.) as it might be a distractor, but it just makes me nervous.

KD is the right coach for a change like this. Even keeled, won’t excite too much or get thrown off. Unfortunately Whittingham is the other coach in the conference which I’d say would adapt best.

1st the Buffs have to stop that damn #80 TE /(utility receiver)... have to get some kind of pressure on their QB...

not sure I like the 10am start thats EARLY for our boys but I guess its earlier for them utes...

GO BUFFS the stage is set, now get IT DONE !!

Two things I didn’t see coming in 2020: The Football program IMMEDIATELY improving post-carpetbagger running off to Mich State, Karl Dorrell being such a calm captain in rough seas, the PAC-12 conspiring to keep an undefeated team out of the Pac-12 Championship game.

Hint: for any cancelled games due to Covid-19 it counts as a Loss for the purposes of tiebreakers forvtge team with the high Covid count.
