2021 Offseason Thread

But, but,

They don't put as many players into the pro's as Alabama and Georgia, they don't have a huge in state talent base, they don't have the money to pay their assistants as much as Texas and Clemson, they haven't been going to big bowl games in recent years, they are too far from home for kids, etc. etc. etc.

Missouri is a perfect example of why what we are hearing about our class is excuse making.

No, this isn't to say that we should have a class equal to what Mizzou has this year but it does illustrate that what we have been doing on the recruiting front is inadequate and that we can and should expect better than we are getting.
Our recruiting the last two years is straight A$$. Yeah, I said it.

Soooo, COVID Delta. Everyone is going back to masks. Some places are going back into lockdown. Are we going to be able to have full stadiums this season (any spectators)?

UNC is installing turf on their home field and that leaves CU and Western State as the only CO colleges that have grass playing surfaces.

Wonder how much longer before the state legislature mandates a switch to turf for those two?

Water usage.
I’ve never understood this. Let’s say they drill a well that goes into the aquifer. Doesn’t the water that they pump up and water the grass with go right back into that aquifer? Admittedly I live in oregon where we have much less of a water issue.

I’m assuming western Oregon then.

Lately, that water has been traveling to places like Western Europe and China.

Hopefully soon. That’s when we were good.

Tomorrow is August 1st and I am itching for all of those sports seasons to get going. That realignment talk sure didn't help either.

You forgot the famous troughs in the men's bathroom and small towns in west Texas are recycling their people's piss. CU prides itself on zero waste right? Let's go on that!

Not a hint of when fall camp starts or what the schedule is on the cubuffs.com website. But don’t worry. The most recent article is Dave Platis’s stupid ****ing “Plati-tudes” about week 7 of the 1971 season. Great fan engagement strategies over at the Champions Center.

How dare you speak poorly of Plati 🤪

I'm enjoying reading those stories about one of the best seasons in Big 8 and CU history. While it's fun to rip Nebraska about how much they have fallen from the top, having that NU-OU game at 11 am really is a disgrace to Big 8 fans still out there.
