The 2021-2022 Coaching Carousel

Mark Stoops, Billy Napier, and I’d throw Joe Brady in as a wildcard.

I don't know about Stoops, they will easily give him more money, they have great facilities and the pressure is very mininal on him. Winning 8 or 9 games a year at UK makes him a hero. Bottom line he has a great situation at UK.

Maybe, but having a cushy job with low expectations isn’t the goal for most big ego coaches. LSU is still going to pay a LOT more for a coach than Kentucky will - isn’t Orgeron like the 2nd highest paid coach in the country after Saban? I’d imagine there’s some competitiveness in the family too - it’s hard to talk about your 8-9 win seasons at Thanksgiving with your brother who won a national title and 10 conference championships.

That's how email works, folks. Delete your sent emails folder and they are erased from the internet.

Very important advice if you're afraid you might get in trouble for sending racist & sexist emails at work which could unfairly give people the wrong impression that you're racist or sexist.

If you are stupid enough to send anything that's even borderline from a work email account then you deserve what you get.

Yep. What's really telling in all this are all the tweets defending him with statements like, "Imagine if someone looked through every email you'd sent in the past decade." Because, I guess, lots of people send homophobic, misogynistic and racist emails? To a colleague when discussing work issues? This is a thing?

I didn’t read the article, but I’m guessing the NY Times wasn’t digging through Gruden’s email just for the heck of it, so someone must have tipped the press. The other lesson here is if you’re going to send racist, homophonic, misogynistic emails from your work email - don’t piss anybody off for the rest of your life.

There's an investigation into Washington. Gruden was sharing his hot takes about lip fullness, drafting gay players, women being qualified to referee, etc. with Daniel Snyder.

once a network packet (e.g. part of an email, message board post, IM) leaves your node device (e.g. laptop, phone, tablet, smart appliance), assume it's permanently recorded, with multiple duplicate copies, on servers all over the world.

??? I'm pretty sure Gruden wasn't a target of the WFC investigation. These emails were found in someone else's inbox.

LSU is a better job though.
Debatable. I really don’t see much difference between the two, and would actually give a slight advantage to A&M.
Lots more money, great admin and fan support and smack in the middle of a great recruiting area. LSU has more recent success, but that’s about it.

LSU has a clear recruiting advantage.

I think I disagree. A&M's resources and support are endless and blows LSU out of the water. You also have the state of Texas for High School football. I think the only thing that could be determined as less is they have to compete with Texas for top dog. Their booster system also blows LSU out of the water. The support is there.

LSU the School has been in major financial trouble for a while now (although I am not sure that is a huge minus, but could be down the road). Arguing which town is better is like arguing over which Western Kansas town is better.
