Jabari Walker Beast Mode Appreciation Thread

Lots of good stuff in that article.

Respect to Jabari for doing this the right way.

Love that Tad learned the "you only need 8" lesson last season.

Very smart of Tad to have 1 schedule slot open until he knows how teams fill their rosters & he knows what his team needs in an opponent (between the lines: what we can handle depends on Jabari's decision).

Well, good luck to him. Love to see him back, but it's a risk. Go get yours while the opportunity is there. Forget about all the mock draft stuff, only takes one team to like what you bring.

That's Cool, I'm happy for him! Good Luck JW!!

His game against the Hoya's in the Dance will always be one of my favorite Buffs memories. 24 points on 9-10 shooting and 5-5 from 3. That beaten hopless look on Ewing's face was largely because of him.

I always hesitate, when it is the dad talking, not the player, Likely naive, but JW's thoughts may have factored in the Buffs getting the Maryland transfer

I think Jabari could sneak into the top 15 in 23 draft. His consistency is a big problem this year. I think he’s a late 2nd at this point

The Maryland transfer that we got and then didn't get? Or did I miss a transfer.

Jabari measured at 6'6.75 inches without shoes, 6'8 with shoes with a 6'10.75" wingspan at the combine. Same height as Jake LaRavia from Wake Forest and Peyton Watson from UCLA. Definitely slightly shorter than I was thinking.

Scouts who were highest on him were listing him at 6'9" with a 7'0" wingspan. He's closer to Dinwiddie's size than he is to that. Hopefully it doesn't hurt his draft stock.

I’m thinking it might. His rebounding is even more impressive considering his height, but his shooting and handle looks worse.

Thank you Jabari, good luck in the NBA, likely the G League for a few years, but it is your dream and your dad will lead you there.
I actually think he's a guy a contender will view as being able to immediately give them 3 and D ability. Jabari will never be more than a role player, but he should be able to provide defense, rebounding, and the three ball for a long time. Game is far better suited to immediately contribute in the NBA than Tyler Bey's.

Hate to see him go as I find the NBA to be unwatchable, but the man needs to get paid.
