IMHO, recruting CA and/or TX (may depend on conference realignment) is going to be the key to rebuilding the program.

After about 6 coaching searches since Gary Barnett left, I am ready to finally look at Dave Logan.
Got a ton of them
O'Brien is not a fit in Colorado, period
Keep his ass in Boston or Alabama or anywhere on the East Coast
He won’t be a candidate at Colorado because he’s going to an actually good program. To say that he’s not good enough for Colorado is laughable.
Walters is a legit candidate, but probably has better opportunities if he keeps on doing work at Illinois.
Right, which would make him a good candidate at CU right now, but we have instituted a “no former Buffs” rule

Adam's list. I would be happy with most of the names on this list, with a few exceptions.

I generally agree with that rule for this program right now, but only if a former Buff is being forced by B4L or if he’s being hired because he’s cheap or will go along with status quo.
Walters has been around SEC and B1G operations for most of his coaching career. He’s by far the most qualified former Buff and one that should probably be interviewed.

I always liked the idea of hiring a coordinator looking to move up. Tucker was the right hire imo, just didn't work out. Keep trying. And also need to greatly increase the assistant coaching pool. The AD, with Univesity support, raised over $80 million for the Champions Center, the money can be there if the powers that be really want it.
I think it helps to consider the potential openings before considering whether certain coaches are a reach or not. The carousel can spin in uncertain ways, but I’m thinking these are the potential P5 openings:
PAC 12 - Arizona State (open). UCLA, Stanford and Cal are all possible.
Big 12 - None seem imminent that I can think of, a lot of relatively recent hires, let me know if I’m missing anyone
Big 10 - Nebraska (open). Northwestern, Indiana, and Wisconsin seem like potential openings.
SEC - Auburn will open almost for sure. Texas A&M maybe, but the great recruiting probably gives Jimbo another year.
ACC - Louisville seems like it will open. Maybe FSU.
Any obvious ones I’m missing?
