Games thread-MEN'S BBALL opens season hosting UC-Riverside (Monday, 11/7/22, 6:30 MT) & at Grambling (Fri, 6 MT) & #11 Tennessee (Sun, Noon MT)

Of course you come in here after every bad game...do you celebrate wins or just lose your **** at every loss? Honestly...
First game I haven't been to this year, so first one I've been able to comment on.

Don't worry, I'm going to the myrtle beach tournament, so you don't have to worry about it there.

Do you ever do anything other than bitch about other posters? Honestly. . .

You need to stop talking about them. I honestly don't want to hear that they're having a bad day. I don't ****ing care, and neither should you, Medford.

All I see is CU losing by double digits to a program that was one of the worst in the sport last year. Nothing says we're a big time CBB program like a performance like this.
I'm still not quite understanding how you think Garbling is terrible. They'll be right there for their conference title this year. This team is better than the one we played on Monday. I'll stick to that.

You're prone to hyperbole after losses, and hyperbole is stupid. We didn't lose because of the refs. They were great in the second half and only missed maybe three or four calls in the first. It's fair to criticize bad calls.

Edit: not even going to correct "Garbling"...

I mean...you'd know I do if you were ever in threads other than our losses 🤷

Grambling doesn't have a single player that would start for anyone in the top half of our conference.

Grambling would lose 4/5 games if they played UCR.

Just admit we laid a ****ing whopper of an egg, with the potential to derail the season if they don't figure out all of the glaring issues.

Maybe it's just me, but I think UCR is god-****ing awful, and I was not happy with our performance against them at all.

I'm not disagreeing with your assessment of UCR nor our performance vs them.

You appear to be VASTLY overrating a team that WILL be a q4 loss, doesn't have any players of note, and just thoroughly kicked the **** out of us.

Losing 2 in a row and potentially 4/5 in the waning seconds of the early signing period probably isn't a good way to get that last piece of the puzzle to commit

They were 325th in KenPom last year.

I think I should clarify...you, me and @ahoelsken are on the same page actually. This is a terrible, terrible loss, but I thought we looked like a bad on Monday, so Im not as shocked as you two might be.

Admittedly I didn't watch the game and I get this was a very bad loss but I think some of you are overreacting. It's the second game of the season and there are improvements to be had ( hopefully). They are a young team with quite A few new faces.

The problem is KJ is the only alpha scorer, and he's not a good enough shooter. Hadley is 100% effort, but that can't be your go to dudes.

There is no leadership on this team. Period.

I knew we'd miss Battey, but I had no idea it would be this bad.

Lovering has to figure out how to contribute very soon. DaSilva can't sit games out anymore. Tad has to toughen this team up some way and somehow. Most embarrassing...

Well, that was an absolute stink bomb last night. Unacceptable and embarrassing level of focus and effort. Lots to fix. Wake up call,

Moving on.

As Coach Calipari says, in the early part of the season you either win or you learn.

Hoping to see a different team on Sunday.

Nothing more hilarious than the hot takes following an early season loss. There's a reason P5 teams don't play away games against small schools early in the season, and we just saw it.
And some of you thought this SWAC scheduling arrangement would be cool.

Four words: I told you so.
