Ladies and gentlemen, the Prime effect

I am just sitting here laughing and wondering what parallel universe I've been warped into.

Some will say we are in the bizarro world. I contend we are just getting out of it. Things are right in the world again.

I’m going on about three hours of sleep two nights in a row and I somehow still feel energized. Up late constantly hitting “New Posts”. Then I wake up way too early and have to get online to make sure this isn’t just a crazy dream. More hours of hitting “New Posts”. Probably rinse and repeat through signing day.

Sometimes I just post posts to try and keep the new posts posting.

Good Morning, Buff Sisters and Brothers! i am, like you, disoriented from the 180 degree change overnight but this is going to be awesome. Also, if you haven't watched the you tube video of Prime and his family touring the facilities, you should do so. We have built one of the best churches in the country and now we have the right Priest to gather the flock.

Expect we will see many many more unbelievably talented players looking to join us in Boulder.

Maybe this is the right place to ask the question:

In the Denver metro sports constellation of stars, whose is the brightest now?

I'd argue that it's Prime. I mean, there's always PFM and Elway when they pop their heads up, but as they're not actively involved in any sports team in the area, they only pop up from time to time.

With that in mind, Russell Wilson is definitely not the guy, and as much as those of us who follow the teams think of them, Jokic, Murray, MacKinnon and Makar don't have 10% of Prime's starpower.

Also re: the Prime Effect - I have lamented for the last 10 years that decent Buff gear was hard to come by because apparel companies typically did limited runs, or not at all for CU. That is all about to change thanks to Coach Prime.

I decided to get a step ahead of Christmas shopping about 3 weeks ago and bought Buffs gear for everyone in my family. I went with vintage stuff because who wanted to think about right now.

Oops.

Depends who you ask and what you mean by brightest star.

Deion is definitely a transcending guy and people will have heard of him, but he hasn't played in 15 years and been off TV for a bit also. Coaching at JSU is very niche.

Jokic is a 2-time NBA MVP.

I mean in terms of popularity and name recognition. The guy who the regular sports fan, ie not us, will recognize immediately.

Jokic is the most successful player, no doubt, though he's going to be soon challenged by Makar.

Basketball >>>> Hockey

Jokic just isn't flashy enough probably, but is Makar or MacK?

In terms of popularity and name recognition it's Russell Wilson, no contest.
