Colorado lineman Jordan Seaton posts cryptic message after Cash Cleveland departs for portal
After Cash Cleveland said he plans to enter the transfer portal, Colorado offensive lineman Jordan Seaton posted a cryptic message on X.www.on3.com
Yeah, that's a headline writer trying to get clicks. Also possible that they know their audience is in fact that stupid and can't even infer that message - which, these days, I don't exactly discount. There’s nothing cryptic about that whatsoever.
No judgement, just curiosity. What percentage of really rich people do you think cash and keep their social security checks?
Almost all of them.
Part of the mentality is that they will take advantage of everything they have earned or are entitled to. I say this without judgement in any way. Personal decision imho.

Yeah, I mean they should tell us which god.I should apologize to Mr Cleveland for saying I thought he quit on his teammates.
He posted he is transferring because it's part of "God's plan" (same thing Nwankwo said)
They may be tough and independent young men, but heck, they're not calling the shots, God is.
be nice to see one of these guys man up and speak the truth.

Christ, dude.
I also do not wish him ill. Having said that, I hope he is imprisoned for life and forced to toss 50 salads per day.Was he running with the 1st team this spring?
I saw him as a guy happy with his role and team. Just a terrible example of how college sports have hit the toilet.
I do not wish him ill, but I hope he rides the pine for the rest of his career.

Don't discount the publicity factor with them already dominating the chatter leading up to next week's draft. The number retirement is being blown way out of proportion. Numbers can be un-retired just as easily as they are retired. Coach Prime said this wouldn’t be an issue if not for his last name. He’s partly right. This has more to do with keeping Prime happy than with honoring anything Shedeur has done, IMO.
I had a thought (yeah, I know) that having their numbers retired will forever tie their allegiance to The University of Colorado. They will forevermore be Buffs. That’s a pretty good thing.Don't discount the publicity factor with them already dominating the chatter leading up to next week's draft.

If this was Alabama and Coach Saban, the entire fanbase would be 100% losing their minds in support of it. "Another beacon of the greatness of the Tide!" Instead, in our perpetual sadazz Eeyore of a fanbase is in a tizzy, whinging and moaning and not flipping a collective finger to the rest of the CFB world as we should be doing. The number retirement is being blown way out of proportion. I don't think this is a scholly issue, is it? I assumed he wanted to start after getting a taste of playing last year and now is transferring out as he was passed on the Depth Chart... and... as he should have. He was a lightly recruited PWO for 2024. Those guys (90 percent of the time) aren't playing a whole lot of P4 football until they are Juniors or Seniors at best.I see Cash as very little difference from Charlie. Great kid, great work ethic, good for the culture. Although Cash can actually be put in and play and be ok. I think he is worthy of a scholly.
He saved us when we were in big trouble and he held his own at the P5 level. He has earned a P5 scholly and a chance to start. He's worthy of both a scholarship with CU and the opportunity to start somewhere else with some NIL $$$. But if CU wants a better run game for 2025.... we need a better version of what Cash was on the field last year.
Let's be honest, his best path is as a long snapper. Filling that role, and being serviceable (in college) or not too much of a negative (pro) backup center is where he provides the most value.Cash was decent in relief for the Buffs last year but his size isn't ideal. Getting with the right offensive line coach and putting out as much tape as possible is his unlikely path to the NFL. The Buffs are likely not the team to provide that to him.
His best path is in a pass happy spread offense. He's really good in pass protection. The challenge with him is that he can't win the point of attack by getting any movement in the run game.Let's be honest, his best path is as a long snapper. He could have done that here, but I'm guessing he thinks he has a chance to be more than that.
Note: it's also possible that he just loves playing the game, and he knows he won't get to play that much here next year.
The flip side of that is to ask if any numbers were ever retired by Nick Saban. If this was Alabama and Coach Saban, the entire fanbase would be 100% losing their minds in support of it.
