2025 Spring Football

What percentage of really rich people do you think cash and keep their social security checks?

Almost all of them.

Part of the mentality is that they will take advantage of everything they have earned or are entitled to. I say this without judgement in any way. Personal decision imho.
No judgement, just curiosity.

Context:

The narrative is that dark money has been prevalent in CFB because people of means who wanted their teams to win were willing to throw it at players. The case I'm describing is where people of means -- those with literally the most interest in winning -- passed on a legal option to benefit their own teams.

@skibum 's explanation makes sense. I think I heard that before.

I should apologize to Mr Cleveland for saying I thought he quit on his teammates.

He posted he is transferring because it's part of "God's plan" (same thing Nwankwo said)

They may be tough and independent young men, but heck, they're not calling the shots, God is.

be nice to see one of these guys man up and speak the truth.

Yeah, I mean they should tell us which god.

Christ, dude.

Was he running with the 1st team this spring?

I saw him as a guy happy with his role and team. Just a terrible example of how college sports have hit the toilet.
I do not wish him ill, but I hope he rides the pine for the rest of his career.
I also do not wish him ill. Having said that, I hope he is imprisoned for life and forced to toss 50 salads per day.

The number retirement is being blown way out of proportion. Numbers can be un-retired just as easily as they are retired. Coach Prime said this wouldn’t be an issue if not for his last name. He’s partly right. This has more to do with keeping Prime happy than with honoring anything Shedeur has done, IMO.

Don't discount the publicity factor with them already dominating the chatter leading up to next week's draft.

I had a thought (yeah, I know) that having their numbers retired will forever tie their allegiance to The University of Colorado. They will forevermore be Buffs. That’s a pretty good thing.

This. And it's more recent. Recruits look up at the existing names and have no clue who they are. They see Hunter and Sanders - that's much more tangible.

I wouldn't choose the word "allegiance" as I think Shedeur's and Travis's relationship with the school is already set. It more sends the message to the outside world and Travis and Shedeur are Buffs.

And the whole timing thing is a straw man to lessen the appearance of pettiness and bitchiness from those who are complaining about this. Their college careers are over. There's nothing else to prove at the collegiate level. The timing thing only makes sense if we're talking about a Rae Carruth. But then you just take his name down.

Anyone going to the game? I’m gonna be honest I kinda forgot it was today. Plus paying nearly $100 to take a family of 4 to the game seemed excessive
