That would be funny, but completely unlikely.I love Sheduer and all he has done for us but it would be kinda funny if Shilo got drafted over him

It’s Sanders motivated.I have a hard time thinking that black QBs might be downgraded on race when both starting QBs in the last SB were black, the #1 overall pick the past 2 years was a black QB, and last year's ROY was a black QB. There are likely cases of racist individuals in NFL front offices who have prejudices about black folks and had Shedeur's personality hit a bunch of their trigger points, but the argument is thin that him being passed on in the 1st round by every team was racially motivated.
I recall rumors of that which HCDS deniedDidn’t Prime say there were teams he didn’t want drafting his son? If that’s the case and there’s only a handful of teams needing a QB, maybe they were scared in using a First for him in the possibility they were one of the teams on Primes “no list.” This will all be fascinating to learn in a few years, especially if SS turns out to be pretty good.
It didn’t hamper Travis, but it’s the Sanders family. They’re polarized. It pisses people off even more that they don’t drink or do drugs. If his last name wasnt Sanders I believe he would have been drafted in the 1st round.
His attitude and bravado ( I have zero problems with) obviously turned people off.
I believe the owners weigh out the risk and reward.
If they dont feel he is head and shoulders above the other QBs, who would want to put up with the extra BS he brings with him.
Personally, SS does not bother me in the least, but Im not the one paying him $$ to be the face of my organization.
Edit:
I also think having his number retired was a bad look.
There is no one in the football world that saw that and didnt think to themselves, WTF.
You watch Travis, he is always smiling, always having fun. He is just built different. It didn’t hamper Travis, but it’s the Sanders family. They’re polarized. It pisses people off even more that they don’t drink or do drugs.
Name three dolphins QBs after Marino and before Tua. You have many to choose from.Dolphins would do well to draft a QB now
You, sir, are an exceptional white man.
Daunte CulpepperName three dolphins QBs after Marino and before Tua. You have many to choose from.
Scott "Let me take you on a" Secules.Name three dolphins QBs after Marino and before Tua. You have many to choose from.

Kind of a weird take. I was unaware the NFL wanted QB's who drank and did drugs. It didn’t hamper Travis, but it’s the Sanders family. They’re polarized. It pisses people off even more that they don’t drink or do drugs.
All publicity is good publicity… I was once told.I have NBC news free streaming on in the background. I don't recall them covering sports often. Just did a piece on Shedeur being the biggest story of the draft on not getting drafted. This is all pretty wild
I'm not sure of your point? are you defending Tua? If so, then to your point, Tua is a good QB but his health is a major liability. . . maybe I am just slow and misreading your post.Name three dolphins QBs after Marino and before Tua. You have many to choose from.
Pretty sure Joe Romig was never drafted.I read Sheduer is the first player to have a number retired and not be drafted in the first round

Shedeur Sanders’ NFL Draft fall wasn’t a surprise. Teams never saw QB as first-round talent
The Athletic asked 10 coaches and executives Thursday if they were surprised Sanders was still on the board late in Round 1. All 10 said no.www.nytimes.com
Only Buff in the pro football HOF is a RaiderFirst of all, @Buffnik - what’s wrong with you? We never want to see a Buff go to the Raiders. No matter what. Full stop.
Secondly, this thread is kinda full of dumb. So many posts saying, people don’t like his attitude, his dad, his race, whatever. And a whole bunch of posts saying that the NFL ignores stuff as long as they like his game. Put two and two together, people.
There are a ton of brash athletes in the NFL, of all races. There are a ton who came out of college brash. The only thing that Shedeur has that other guys don’t is Prime as his dad, and I honesty don’t think Prime is that much of a deterrent. Which means only one thing - they don’t believe in his game.
We don’t have to agree with it. I personally think, as a dude who watched him in person for 10 games, that he has the most pro-ready game I’ve ever personally seen in a college QB. But I’m not an NFL scout or GM.
I hope he goes tonight (not to the Raiders, Nik). I actually think this can be ideal for him. He’s going to have a lot less pressure from the start. Maybe he doesn’t even start next year. That’s not a bad thing for a rookie QB. Even if he’s got a pro ready mind, maybe he can work on himself physically, and work to be a better QB all around.
I think he’s going to prove a lot of people wrong, and he’s going to be more successful than Jaxson ****ing Dart. This will add a lot more fuel to that fire. Go get em, SS2.
Huh? How soAlfed Williams brought up something interesting. He implied that Sean Lewis may be a big reason for this free fall. Not far fetched, imo.
Possible. But down the list IMO.Alfed Williams brought up something interesting. He implied that Sean Lewis may be a big reason for this free fall. Not far fetched, imo.
I'm guessing plenty of teams contacted him. I think most of us have assumed that his time in Boulder didn't end well with Shedeur or CP.Huh? How so
Alfred Williams never tweets, for him to post that tells me he might know something.Possible. But down the list IMO.
The “narrative” could have indeed harmed S2. Part of his deal with Lewis (often discussed here) was that S2 didn’t like the WR option system used by Lewis whereby receivers run routs based on D.I'm guessing plenty of teams contacted him. I suspect he does. I explained below what he might know.Alfred Williams never tweets, for him to post that, tells me he might know something.
I can’t even remember Scott Tolzien or Collin Klein.Past 2 decades + of Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award winners. A lot of very high draft picks among this group. Definitely a handful who weren’t first rounders but most were.

But the reason he didn’t like the WR option routes is because he couldn’t count on the WRs to be where they were supposed to be, which will be less of a problem with Pro WRs.The “narrative” could have indeed harmed S2. But that’s what they do in the pros.
So, yes, this kind of info shared by Lewis could indeed harm S2.
Agree with this one, even though a new coaching staff brings uncertainty. Aaron Glenn seems like the kind of coach that would be good for Shedeur. But Shedeur wouldn’t have the pressure of playing right away.NY Jets wouldn’t be a bad situation. Just has to beat our Justin Fields
I don’t know that point. I’m open to seeing this discussed somewhere. You may well be truth. But the reason he didn’t like the WR option routes is because he couldn’t count on the WRs to be where they were supposed to be, which will be less of a problem with Pro WRs.
I have long been truth.I don’t know that point. I’m open to seeing this discussed somewhere. You may well be truth.
As expected.I have long been truth.![]()
