Damn he's faster than I thought too.
http://chsaanow.com/2017-06-29/qa-pomonas-max-borghi-talks-renewed-focus-2017-football-season/Q: It didn't seem to hurt the recruitment process for you. What was it about the University of Colorado that made it the place for you?
Borghi: It felt like home. It felt like somewhere where I could go in and fit in well. I felt like I had a good shot at going into the program and maybe having a shot at playing as (Denver South grad Phillip) Lindsay is graduating.
Obviously playing in front of my hometown and my state is pretty cool.
Q: The big knock on the in-state schools has been their lack of recruiting in-state players. But Colorado has put an emphasis on the home-grown guys lately. What are you seeing from the program that makes it a place that in-state kids want to play for?
Borghi: The last season really has a big draw on it. I think, personally, they beat Colorado State because they're in the Pac 12. That's it for me, I want to play for a Power 5 school compared to a Mountain West school.
I think the pride and tradition that Colorado has is pretty sweet. You can really feel it when you're up there.
The idea is for our RBs to be multiple in this offense.I'm not doubting it at all, never saw that statement, my fault. I think he's fully capable of just being a back. I just wondered if they'll utilize everything he can do, move him around a bit.
Yep, but like Lindsay, his threat in the passing game should still mostly be out of the backfield. My point was to stop the discussion about whether or not he's being brought in to be a slot receiver type player. The idea is for our RBs to be multiple in this offense.
Like Lindsay, who in 2016 had:
244 carries for 1,252 yards (5.1 avg) and 16 touchdowns
53 receptions for 493 yards (9.3 avg) and 1 touchdown
And lit dudes the **** up when asked to pick up a blitz
This offense is built around that kind of versatility from the RB position.
Sure. I think we'll see it a couple times a game, though, where we catch the defense in a bad personnel matchup due to going fast with a no huddle. QB will see that, go "hot", and motion the RB out to the slot to catch the defense having to match up in space with a LB. Most often they'll do the same and just flare the RB out after he has lined up in the backfield when they catch that, but I know they want the wrinkle of being able to go empty without substituting.Yep, but like Lindsay, his threat in the passing game should still mostly be out of the backfield. Damnit Nik, quit reading my mind lol.Sure. I think we'll see it a couple times a game, though, where we catch the defense in a bad personnel matchup due to going fast with a no huddle. And if you catch them in a blitz out of a base 3-4, he's gone if he jukes one tackler.I was just thinking about possibilities when he's in a game. Say we aren't really playing up tempo and are at least doing like a token huddle. Catch them with four dbs and just slam on the gas where they can't sub. Get Max out in space with a banjoed LB, I'd take that matchup.

That wouldn't hurt either. Plus, if you're playing defense and they start mixing it up, very tough to deal with. More or less a closer so to speak. Gas them and then knock their ass out.Agree with all the above - but, to compliment, it is nice to have that 6'1" / 6'2" 230lb dude that can tote that rock and gobble up yards, especially late in the game when the D is gassed.
Maybe he really likes that canned cheese? (cougar gold)Pullman over Boulder? Ummm, OK.....
