2017 Season Hype/Countdown Thread

Well yeah, but we aren't there yet.
DH's signature GIF is perfect for this thread. I remember listening to that play on the radio and the announcers just lost it during that play. They talked about multiple times during the rest of the game.

I know that we will have growing pains with younger players but I am so very excited to see this team (and really excited about 2018!). The D will get progressively better thru the year with more snaps and the UW game will tell if they are progressing fast enough. The O is going to compensate for the drop off in the D. I know that Montez has not had many starts and reading the D consistently will be the biggest worry. I think he tears it up with all of the weapons he has. The closer we get to the season, the more kool aid I am consuming. I am thinking 8 wins but if the youngsters step up, it could get really interesting. Damn, is it Labor Day Weekend Yet!

CU has had a nice bump this offseason in season tickets. Up 1,342 over 2016 sales to 19,353 so far. Good chance that this will go over 20k this season. Good progress. Needs to get a lot higher, though, especially if those 3-game packages are included in this number.

What's the ideal season ticket level? 30,000? Figure 12,000 for students, 3,000 for visitors and you want to leave some for single game sales.

Edit: obviously, the ideal would be 50,000 or more with a waiting list a mile long, but for the time being, I'm in the here and now reality.

With current capacity, I think you're spot on. RG's goal should be to drive this to 30k. The financial stability from that base along with the donations would be transformative.

I'm most excited to see the 40 year old Australian kick the ball out of the endzone every time.
