ps- going to miss me some Addison.

I would loveto see how his career could have turned out without all the injuries.

Has Lindsay ever missed a day in the weight room? The guy looks like one of those weight room wonders, cut with a laser. Unlike the weight room wonders he translates it to the field, doesn't settle for anything less than the maximum possible on any play either.

Guy can lead without saying a word.

Comcast sent me a new box last week. Said I had to replace the old one. Well, the new f*ucking box doesnt work. I even had rthem come out to the house...it worked for the fifteen minutes they were present. Comcast sucks at this moment.

What... what if this defense is still really good. I mean I am not expecting it to be, we lost a ton of talent both on the field and on the coaching staff. But if this defense can take maybe one step back instead of 4 or 5, are we looking at a playoff caliber team?

I think the defense will be really good. I think it's more athletic this year. But experience can only be gained by playing. Lots of guys who don't have many D1 game snaps and none of the units have played much together. There will be mistakes and growing pains. On offense, we're also likely to see more turnovers from a young Montez than we did from a senior Sefo.

Which means we're going to need to see more plays out of special teams, continue to see the defense also force a lot of turnovers, and for the offense to light up the scoreboard. I don't see us winning games 20-10 or 10-5 this season.

I am in full agreement with you, I am just playing the what if game here a bit.

If the defense is still "really good", and the offense is top 3 in conference, then we should be able to legitimately go toe-to-toe with both UW and USC, which would make CU a playoff-caliber team.

I think the defense will turn the disruptiveness of the front 7. We don't know exactly what we'll get on the line, but signs seem to point to something like last year--stout against the run, can't be pushed around, but not wreaking havoc in the backfield. So, can McCartney, Lewis, Falo, Moeller, Worthington and others give us more disruption than we got last year? Also, how is the defense going to be called? Will they take chances to try for the big sack or tackle for a loss? Lots of questions.

Now that's some strong KoolAid right there... Can I have a sip?

Good thing we have 3 cupcakes to start the year!

My biggest hope for this season is that opposing defenses are forced to load the box in order to deal with Lindsay running behind this OL.

Thing is, in the past they'd load the box because we didn't have anybody who could stretch the field. They loaded the box out of convenience rather than necessity.

We are going to light up some folks this year.
