2019 Buffs Football hype thread

Everyone thinks he is an SEC guy but he is just as much of a Midwest guy. The only problem with Colorado is the lack of local talent to recruit from but he takes that challenge head on and actually believes in the university so I don’t think he will jump for any job in the south like mac would have.
Mac wanted to be in the south because it’s easier to recruit in the south. And he didn’t like to recruit, or make his coaches recruit. Tucker seems to know he can recruit nationwide, and honestly, probably can build a perennial contender in the PAC easier than in the SEC. So I hope he stays and just makes the PAC regret letting us in.

Well, you know. Regret it in a different way than they have the last half dozen years.

We’re going to be so good, other teams will steal our coaches - GET HYPED!!
It’s such a good problem to have. Like losing Viska to the draft this next year is a great problem. Losing great coaches means we are successful, and with coaches moving up within Tuckers tutelage, it builds more credibility for Tucker to have a great pool of replacement candidates. I’d guess great programs have 2-3 coaches turnover every year for those good reasons. Coaches getting promoted to OC or DC positions at smaller or equal school from position coaches. OC and DC coaches getting opportunities to be head coaches at smaller schools.

You win, and you have that ‘problem’. It isn’t a bad thing though if the head guy is a guy other coaches are jacked up to work for.

I'm not as familiar with football drills as others. What do these three drills look like? Traditional cone drill, 40 yd dash, and something else?

Looks to be just running at top speed, broken down by position: skill (RB, WR, DB, QB), combo (TE, LB), and line.

Seemed right on the money to me, except for this part:"depth in the receiving corps could be an issue."
I think he's looking at it they're unknowns until they show something. I think he over looked Stanley, but it was fair. Arias wasn't given much of a chance to show anything other than the Washington game

“As gorgeous as Boulder is, it’s hard to recruit to,” - Bill Connelly

- Mike MacIntyre
I dont buy that. Problem is we've mostly had bad recruiters lately, not that cu cant get good players.... even used car salesman Hawkins had a top 15 class following a losing season.

Embree recruited a surprisingly high amount of NFL players and he was only here for one and a half years.

"Its too hard for Colorado to get good players" is not a valid excuse

Kordell looks good. If I am not mistaken, I believe that those two individuals were on the field at the same time during a game at Folsom in the earlyish 1990s.
