2020-2021 Bowl Games Thread

Only if all P5 conferences remove divisions and do it like the Big12. That would ensure the best two teams are playing in the CCG and the winner is truly one of the best teams. Then the 3 at large
Meh, let them decide their own champions.

Divisions leave plenty of room for controversy for the best teams in a conference possible not playing in the CCG. The only way conference champion auto bids work is if the champions are unquestionably the best teams in the conference
If you don't win your conference, stfu about being in the playoff. Just like the nubs in 2001 or ND this year.

This is ugly.

Just like to point out at this moment that if Strauss had being preying on women or children instead of men, Ohio State would be considered more despicable than Penn State or Baylor. But, since he raped and sexually assaulted male student-athletes, there are probably people reading this that don't know wtf I'm talking about.

That statement makes his point. Both of those "top 4" teams were ND who was a fraud and shouldn't have been in the playoff. Clemson did play a garbage schedule but they clearly belong.

Clemson: Played #4 twice and #18.
Bama: Played #5, #10, and #11
tOSU: Played #7 and #15

And ND is arguably the best opponent any of the top 3 faced.

Guys that is the definition of targeting and dirty as **** if you don’t think it is. You learn that first practice as a second grader

If a 4 or 5 loss division champ pulls an upset in their CCG doesn't mean they should get a ticket to the playoff. Which is the argument for eliminating divisions if you're going to give auto bids.

I'd much rather have a computer put together the playoff, regardless whether it's 4 or 8 teams. The human element ****s it up too often.

When there's a "fair catch goes to the 25" rule, why would you ever let the ball hit the ground like that?
