2020-2021 Bowl Games Thread

Man, imagine if Rick George had not demanded Sark keep certain coaches on the staff. Would love to have seen him in Boulder. Ugh

Mac Jones going to be a solid pro QB or no?
I wouldn't bet on either of these guys.

Someone is going to fall in love with Fields measurables and his highlights and take him very early in the draft.

No questions about his talent but how will he play when he doesn't have the best players on the field at most positions. How often does he face real pressure from the rush and have his primary receivers covered? How often does he have to go through 2, 3, or more reads to find someone open? How often is his open man a tight window that is going to close if the ball isn't there right now?

Those are things you don't learn after getting to the NFL.

Cut it to 14. Still feels like 30
As good as Ohio State is it would be a total collapse on the part of Alabama for them to win.

How often have teams coached by Sabin had a total collapse?

Might as well be 30.

He does quite well with superstars around him. He’s never had to deal with pressure or make throws into tight windows. Being a career backup is plenty fun.
Make $500,000 a year or more, often a lot more, for going to practice and carrying a tablet around on the sidelines, play a few games when the starter is out and retire healthy before the age of 30.

Nah, I'd rather struggle trying to build a career in the real world for those years. Not.

Those numbers are way low. Chase Daniel, for instance, has made $38 million in twelve seasons. AJ McCarron (great comp) has made $14.4 million in seven seasons. I’ll take it!

That's why I said often a lot more.. Even the guys who manage to hang around for 3-4 years as a 3rd stringer/practice squad guy come out way better than had they not done it.

Be a little smart with the money. Put away a solid investment fund, get a decent home paid for, and things are much easier the rest of your life.

Mac Jones is a smart guy. I am sure he’ll be fine.

As fun as it is to root against Alabama, I'm thoroughly enjoying this.

Every Ohio State fan has been thinking since the Sugar Bowl that they had a real, legitimate chance in this game. Buckeye fan tears are delicious.

So Bama is going to lose QB1, RB1, WR1, WR2, OL1,2,3,4, CB1, DL1,2, LB1,2 and their OC. No way they are the favorite next year, right? Right??

Didn't they have 4 WRs drafted last year? And then they have a WR win the Heisman this year.

It doesn't matter.
