2022 NCAA Tournament Thread

maybe I'm not following, but IMO, conference performance in the 2022 tournament should not be a factor in determining whether a given member of that conference makes the 2023 tourney.
It shouldn't be but conference reputation ends up influencing rankings and ratings of teams.

You end up with X team from that conference who gets raised for beating a bunch of "tourney teams" and some losses excused for the same reason. Self-perpetuating more teams then end up in the tourney again the next year.

B1G had a lot of good teams this year. All year, though, I felt that Purdue was their only national title contender.

Kountz and UNC, CBI semis, 5 on ESPN2
Kountz and Fletcher are the only two guys I felt Tad didn't get the most out of.

Say what you will about competition level, and it's valid, but Kountz is nightly 20 point scorer, and Fletcher was a regular triple double threat, conference player of the year at Toledo.

I didn't think either wanted to play to the CU system. The guy I always think of who would have been a good fit but transferred after his redshirt year was Chris Jenkins. He was a solid college player for Detroit.

True. I didn't want to call out the system and potentially get attacked by some Tad lovers.

It's not really an indictment of Tad though, as college coaches are way too reliant on their systems rather than just playing basketball.

I’d like to see Tad and the Buffs get over the hump and make it to at least the Sweet 16.
crazy ex girlfriend wow GIF

I think they will. More than that, idk? Not impossible. Everything will have to fall just right, but I'd think Tad and the squad should set their goals to nothing less than that. If you want to win on a high level, prove it. Injuries and replacing guys like EB is gonna happen. That isn't going to be easy, not just on the court, off of it as well. Some things we do as a team sometimes annoy the living **** out of me, that's a given for any team I follow. I hope he doesn't retire anytime soon, hope that was just talk on here. He's, by far, the best coach we've had since I've been watching.

The 2019-2020 team had the capacity, until they self-destructed and the tournament got cancelled.

If Gonzaga goes up against an SEC team and gets SEC-style refereeing, this is what happens.

I was worried about another 2nd half comeback by the Zags
