2023 NCAA MARCH MADNESS GAMES THREAD

It's kind of amazing how many 3s that N Kentucky missed.

5/34

They weren't a great shooting team from deep this season, but they were a solid 35%.

Didn't give themselves a chance to pull off the upset.

Oh god his feed has been gold all afternoon.

You guys see what UCLA did to UNC Asheville or whoever they're playing? 14-0 right away. Mick Cronin's a hell of a coach.
I picked UCLA to win it in my bracket.

I didn't trust them without Clark. They would have been my pick with little debate if he was healthy. Maybe, though. They have so much talent.

They were throwing up some long and wild 3's

I didn't know Clark was out for the entire tournament. I thought he was coming back, but I guess that's just Bona.

This was also an office pool. 95% of my office is in Chicago, so I felt obligated to pick UCLA.

Ummm...not so fast...Kevin Brill was the guy who tossed Boyle last week in Vegas. Couldn't drag T Lloyd over the finish line today though. Delightful, isn't it?

Yeah this is randomly assigned. Verne Harris was in Birmingham, while Brill saw a team he's probably had at least twice this year. Best 96 in the country work the first round. 48 move onto this weekend. Brill won't be one of them.

Michigan State is mediocre at best, but USC is straight a$$. How in the hell did we lose to them twice?

I think Sparty can go deep in this tournament. They're built for it. Maybe the best perimeter shooting team Izzo has had.

I’ve got Alabama Duke UH and KU with UH winning. I have very little confidence in UH now. Duke and UCLA looking good.

If Verne is one of the top 96 refs in the country, how can an eggplant not get a job reffing games?
In my opinion, he's not. Randy McCall isn't either. Dave Hall was, but he's not as this point in his career. None of the guys who focus on Pac 12 games or any smaller league in this part of the country are. Basketball officiating is so political. Verne likely has known whose asses he needs to kiss for years now.

As a high school official, its just as important for me to watch the guys at the college level I think are really good during the NCAA tournament. I learn things-positioning, mechanics....dealing with coaches/players, etc. I like Ron Groover. He's really good. Lives in like Atlanta. Probably the best official in D1, and his resume shows that. He's worked the last several final fours. Terry Oglesby is another guy I try to watch. He lives in Missouri, so he's not out here much. John Higgins is still a damn good referee IMO. He's got an ego, but I've never seen him make the kind of mistakes that Verne Harris and Randy McCall did when they ****ed the Sabatino Chen game up at Arizona.

Quick question; Anyone in the Carolinas going to watch the CU girls play at Cameron Indoor on Saturday?… I live a few blocks away from Cameron and will be there.

Hopefully setting up for what will be a gnarkill game on Monday night against Duke!

*I don’t know where else to post this?*

Unfortunately I'm not gonna make it. I believe @Denver_sc said he is going
