That would be awesome.
That would be awesome.
DeShaun Foster was a terrible hire. And personally, I don't appreciate him trying to rip off a half dozen philosophies and tactics already perfected by HCP. Dude is a muppet and will be gone after 3 seasons. It mainly stems from hiring a woefully under qualified head coach stepping into an already poor situation left by the previous head coach.
You add in some clear overall mismanagement from the AD and this is the type of **** you get. That program is toxic right now.
I actually think he could basically follow the Coach Prime model and be successful there. Wouldn't need to do in home visits, could pick and choose which recruits he wanted to pursue, and hire a staff of NFL guys. He's always been GM so the money aspect won't be anything new to him. Main issue would be who he could bring on staff to recruit for him.I can't think of a worse fit for either side than Bill Belichick coaching college football in the NIL/portal era.
This won't end well. Indiana's offense is all Cignetti's doing. Foster has no clue what he's doing. Break out the popcorn.
Or Foster having absolutely ZERO clue of how to do his job.I am not sure why EB gets blamed for Garbers throwing picks.

Young men getting paid in today's CFB are not going to jive with a grouchy old white guy that wants to manipulate their lives is not going to work, dumbI actually think he could basically follow the Coach Prime model and be successful there. Watching Chris Petersen sit at a desk is the saddest thing to me, but BB can go away and nobody will miss him
It seemed to work for quite a while with young men getting paid in the NFL. Vast majority of his players loved that "grouchy old white guy"Young men getting paid in today's CFB are not going to jive with a grouchy old white guy that wants to manipulate their lives is not going to work, dumb

The leverage difference is a fair point but I'm not convinced he wasn't a very good GM. He had some obvious flaws, especially in the later years, but he also won six SBs as defacto GM so it's hard for me to classify his tenure as not good*. Only one way to find out if it would work, but I think it could. He was not a very good GM though. And he would be walking into a situation where college players have way more leverage than NFL players.
Washington message boards are probably a bit nervous about this. He'd probably hore his son as DCOC - McDaniels
DC - Patricia
I can’t imagine what that must be like for UCLA fans.It mainly stems from hiring a woefully under qualified head coach stepping into an already poor situation left by the previous head coach.

Yea we got bamboozledChris Petersen is/was a phenomenal coach.
UCLA today feels a lot like the CU program under Karl Dorrell--there was really no hope at CU just two years ago. It illustrates what a fine job Coach Prime has done here, as well as the job Rick George did in getting him here.It mainly stems from hiring a woefully under qualified head coach stepping into an already poor situation left by the previous head coach.

Their fans have been assured that the Plan B is either Prime or Lincoln now that the Liberty guy has turned them down.
Sounds like a Frost warning!
I disagree. Sunseri (Sal's son for those not aware) spent 2 years at Alabama as a GA, then 4 years working with Cignetti. This won't end well. Indiana's offense is all Cignetti's doing. Foster has no clue what he's doing. Break out the popcorn.
He reminds me of the Nathaniel Hackett hire.I disagree. Sunseri (Sal's son for those not aware) spent 2 years at Alabama as a GA, then 4 years working with Cignetti.
He's a former QB and he's been a coach's son his whole life.
I think there's a good bet he has the system down and is going to be a star. It's a better bet that he's no Pat Shurmur.
I think he's a great pick for UCLA given the budget over there.
Never stopped Kevin sumlin from getting jobs.He reminds me of the Nathaniel Hackett hire.
A “co” offensive coordinator that didn’t call plays.
UCF just isn’t a very good job which doesn’t feel like it should be the case.Their fans have been assured that the Plan B is either Prime or Lincoln now that the Liberty guy has turned them down.
It was a great job as a G5.UCF just isn’t a very good job which doesn’t feel like it should be the case.
Prominent players announcing transfer mid season and Gus taking an OC job in the ACC (albeit a premium brand) after only two years is a major red flag about the quality of it. Not sure if they just don’t have anything in the way of good facilities, NIL and donors or what.It was a great job as a G5.
Lateral move at best.
I feel bad for New Mexico
