With the TENNIS team being one of those Buff sports that has MANY tournaments in both the fall and spring semesters, I wanted to set up a thread that as normal we can use to cover anything that comes up on and off the courts related to the team.

I'm starting this thread now as at some point the team has posted its FALL (not spring yet) schedule (https://cubuffs.com/sports/womens-tennis/schedule) Per that, the 1st tournament is scheduled to be in San Francisco Sept. 13-15.

A copy of the fall (only) schedule right now from cubuffs:

The team released an article a couple days ago summarizing and commenting on its fall season -

"
BOULDER – The 2023-24 tennis season is beginning this weekend for the Colorado Buffaloes in San Francisco at the Battle in the Bay Classic.

While the fall slate is made up of individual tournaments the team will look to use this time to grow as a team as well.

"Our first event of the season is coming up, but it's always continuous," head coach Anthony Pham on the start of the season. "We just finished up our first week of practice and it was very positive. I thought everyone looked good from a standpoint that they put in a lot of work over the summer. That was the goal but was still very positive to see that be put into training, practice, and fitness. Now it's just a matter of understanding that we want to continue to elevate our program and as individuals. We want to pick up where we were at the end of last season, keep improving and put us in a good position to have a good spring."

They will start that Thursday, September 12-15 at the Battle in the Bay Classic with two seniors Aya El Sayed and Mila Stanojevic invited to compete. Last season, El Sayed went 3-2 in singles and 1-2 in doubles with Stanojevic who went 1-3 in singles.

"Our expectations they don't change," Pham said on the expectations going into the tournament. "Obviously we want to go there and have the best results we can, the level of the tournament is very high. I think for them having been there, Aya [El Sayed] in her third year and Mila [Stanojevic] her second year they have a better understanding of the expectations as a team, a program, and for themselves."

Battle in the Bay is a tournament full of high-caliber players from across the country who must be invited to be able to compete. Part of the reason for the high level of competition is due to the winner of the tournament getting a wild card bid to a 60-thousand-dollar professional tournament the following week.

"We always talk about opportunities, and this is just another opportunity for us," Pham commented on playing in a high-quality tournament. "We tell the team and our players all the time that we're going to give them a lot of opportunities to play in these types of tournaments and against high level players."

For the other seven players their season will begin the Following in Waco, Texas at the Baylor Invite September 20-22.
The remainder of the fall goes the ITA All-American Championship September 22-29 followed by a month off before the ITA Mountain Regional Championships in Las Cruces, New Mexico this season.

The Buffs will then travel to Fort Myers, Florida for the Florida Gulf Coast University Invite November 1-3. The following week Colorado will split with some going to Los Angles for the ITA Fall Sectional November 7-10 and others going to the Cal Poly SLO Invite November 8-10.

The fall season will be wrapped up with the first NCAA Individual Championships occurring in the fall instead of after the season in the spring. The event will be back in Waco, Texas November 19-24.

"This fall we need to continue to keep getting better," Pham said on the fall slate. "We've got a ton of opportunities for our players to challenge themselves, but also to represent Colorado. Starting with Battle in the Bay and the Baylor Invite, there are a lot of good teams out there, a lot of good players. Then we have regionals then we go down to Florida and hopefully we get a handful of players to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships in November. The team is excited to get out there again and get competing."

The Colorado Buffaloes tennis team finished it's first weekend of competition in the fall season, with Aya El Sayed and Mila Stanojevic earning two doubles victories and a combined three singles wins.

The pair started the morning off in the doubles consolation finals against opponents Tomi Main and Yu-Chin Tsai of TCU. El Sayed and Stanojevic brought the match to a tiebreaker, but fell short in the end, finishing the match 10-8 in favor of TCU.

Stanojevic finished the day for the Buffs in singles competition. Stanojevic faced Main once again, and led the match to another tie breaking set.

After capturing the second set, Stanojevic kept close to Main, but ultimately fell in the tiebreaker, 10-8.

Buffs Ready for Regionals

Colorado begins the ITA Mountain Regional Championship Thursday

By: Aiden Tank, Athletic Communications

BOULDER –
The Colorado Buffaloes tennis team will return to action for the ITA Mountain Region Championship tomorrow at the New Mexico State University Tennis Center for a chance to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships.

After three weeks off from competition, more for some, the Buffs are excited to finally get back and compete. For some, the last competition was at the Baylor Invite and for others it was at the ITA All-American Championships. For the first tournament back being the ITA Mountain Region Championship, the team will have a big opportunity to compete against the best teams and players in the surrounding schools.

With the rule change moving the NCAA Individual Championships to the fall, the automatic qualification that comes with regionals adds a layer of importance. The two finalists in singles play and the winning doubles team will earn an automatic bid to the Individual Championships November 19-24.

"Regionals is a good opportunity for us," head coach Anthony Pham said on the tournament. "Especially with the changes in the schedule, with the NCAA Individual Championships being moved to the fall, regionals now have that much more emphasis put on it. It's a good opportunity for our players, we've had a good two-and-a-half weeks of training. I think they've done a good job putting their head down and getting to work every day. I'm excited to see the progress we've made."

Going into the tournament the recognition of the work and success has continued to come in the form of seeding. In singles, three are seeded in the main draw: Aya El Sayed No. 2, Mila Stanojevic No. 3, and Betina Tokac No. 15. In doubles, two teams are seeded: El Sayed and Pia Rebec No. 1 and Stanojevic and Rixt van der Werff No. 4.

This marks the first time since 2019 with a doubles team seeded No. 1 heading into regionals and the first time since Nuria Ormeño Ruiz that a Buff was seeded as high as No. 2 in singles.

With the increased recognition heading into tournaments a few of the Buffs are now seen as the ones to knock off. Pham knows his team is ready for the challenge, "I think they've done a good job preparing themselves. Being seeded is a nice thing that hopefully gives them validation to what they've been doing and being recognized from the ITA and schools in the region that they are one of the players and we are one of the teams to watch out for."

After being split for the first three tournaments of the fall, this will be the first time all nine players are traveling on the same trip.

"They're excited to spend time with each other on the road," Pham said. "Watch each other compete and build those bonds that you can only really build competing with each other, watching each other, and supporting one another. It's another opportunity for us to come together and keep getting to know each other. With it being regionals, there are lots of opportunities for us and we're going to take advantage of it."

Nelson and Bubalo Win the ITA Mountain Regional Championship

Anya Nelson and Ema Bubalo become the second duo in school history to be ITA Regional Doubles Champions

By: Teagan Schreiber, Athletic Communications Student Assistant

LAS CRUCES, NM
Anya Nelson and Ema Bubalo finished the ITA Mountain Regional Championships this Tuesday on top with a first-place finish in doubles competition, capturing the third set tiebreaker to win the match.

Nelson and Bubalo become the second in school history to earn this accomplishment. The first being Julyette Steur and Kyra Wojcik in 2014. The victory automatically qualifies them for the NCAA Championships at the end of November.

In the best of three set finals, Nelson and Bubalo fought till the very end to achieve the top spot. In the first set against Denver's Andrea Beltran and Marley Lambert, the duo fell short losing 6-3.

In the second set, the two Buffs evened the playing field, capturing the win 7-6 with a 7-5 tiebreak.

It came down to the final set, and keeping it close Nelson and Bubalo finished the job winning 10-8.

"This was Anya and Ema's 10th and 11th match that they played this week in just six days, so for them to put together this run and performance was very exciting to see" said head coach Anthony Pham, "Blake also did a great job coaching them through a very tricky match. I am really excited to see them represent our program and the NCAA tournament."

Mila Stanojevic and Rixt Van Der Werff will also come home with a placing finish. Stanojevic took 3rd place while Van Der Werff holds 4th, as a result of a walkover. Both Buffs qualified for ITA Sectionals which will take place November 7-10th at the University of Southern California.

"Mila did a great job, and played some tough tennis to reach the semis" says Pham when asked about Stanojevic, "Rixt took a different route, playing the number one seed in her first match, and she played solid tennis. She unfortunately got sick before the semifinals match, but she showed toughness throughout it, and I'm very proud."

"In general, I am proud of our whole group, they all did a really good job both on and off the courts, competing, fighting, and supporting each other. They do the little things that I believe continue to help us build our culture and build a belief to keep our heads up within the group."

BOULDER – The Colorado Buffaloes tennis team travels to two tournaments this weekend starting Thursday at the ITA Fall Sectional at USC and followed up by the Florida Gulf Coast University Invite starting Friday in Fort Myers, Florida.

After a few weeks of training following the ITA Mountain Region Championship, four Buffs will travel to Los Angeles to compete in the ITA Fall Sectional for one final chance to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championship later this month.

The four athletes are Aya El Sayed, Mila Stanojevic, Betina Tokac, and Rixt van der Werff who will compete in singles. Stanojevic and Van der Werff qualified for sectionals by reaching the semifinals of regionals. El Sayed and Tokac earned at large bids for the tournament.

The NCAA Individual Championships moved to the fall semester for the first time this year, leading to the debut of this event. From this tournament, six student-athletes will qualify for the singles championships. All four semifinalists and two quarterfinal playoff winners.

These four will look to join doubles duo Ema Bubalo and Anya Nelson at the individual championships after the two qualified by winning the ITA Mountain Region Doubles Championship.

"This is the first year for sectionals and the competition should be strong, but that's what we like, that's what we want," head coach Anthony Pham said on the tournament. "I think our kids are excited to have the opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Championships and get out there and compete."

The rest of the team will travel to Fort Myers, Florida for the Florida Gulf Coast University Invite. They will face off against host FGCU, Memphis, and Purdue. Competing will be Lera Alexin, Ema Bubalo, Willow Gretsch, Anya Nelson, and Pia Rebec.

"Florida Gulf Coast and Bonita Bay Club do a really good job hosting the tournament," Pham commented. "It is a really fun tournament the members get out and really get into it. There will be good competition from Memphis, Purdue, and Florida Gulf Coast."

For the athletes who don't qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships, this will be the last tournament of the fall season. Pham has been very happy with the progress his team has made so far, "There are so many positive things that have happened this fall. Results-wise we have had a lot of good things, but each player has seen improvements in their game. We had some people graduate, some new members join the team and they've done a good job of buying into the philosophy of the program. I think there has been a seamless transition. The standard for themselves and each other continues to grow alongside the expectations for the program and that is very positive."

The team released its (main) spring season today. I've added the Instagram post listing it to the original post. (They open up action late next week.)

BOULDER – The Colorado Buffaloes tennis team will make their return to the Big 12 Conference with 21 total matches including 13 conference matches, head coach Anthony Pham announced on Thursday.

The Buffs will start the season following their annual spring training trip, which this season will take place in Chicago, Ill., by competing in the Northwestern Tournament against Northern Illinois, Notre Dame, and host Northwestern.

In the first match of the spring, they will travel to Colorado Springs to take on the Air Force Academy on Friday, Jan.17. The Buffs will look to extend their winning streak against the Falcons to five, dating back to 2021.

The next two weeks Colorado will play its first home matches staying against two in-state rivals with Denver on Jan. 19 and Colorado State on Jan. 26. These will be the only home non-conference matches this season.

Going into February the Buffs will hit the road for five straight matches against IUPUI on Feb.1 in Indianapolis, Ind., Illinois on Feb. 2, New Mexico on Feb. 8, UNLV on Feb. 21, and Penn State in Las Vegas on Feb. 22.

This will be only the fourth time playing Illinois, the first time since 2005. The Buffs will look to win their first match against the Fighting Illini who last year went 17-10. Illinois used an 11-1 home record to propel them to the NCAA tournament.

The following match on Feb. 8 against New Mexico presents another tough opponent. Last season the Lobos went 19-3 and only lost one home match the entire season going 9-1.
Of the eight non-conference matches they will face two Big Ten and four Mountain West opponents.

On the final day of February, the Colorado will play their first Big 12 match for the first time since April 28, 2011. They will host Iowa State on Friday, Feb. 28, and follow that by hosting Kansas on Sunday, March 2.

The Buffs will hit the road to play BYU on Thursday, March 6. The Cougars went 18-8 a season ago, including 8-1 at home. They were one of only four teams a season ago in the Big 12 Conference to have only one home loss.

Colorado will finish its first conference road trip with Utah on March 8, Baylor on March 14, and TCU on March 16.

After four straight on the road, the Buffs return home for a couple of weeks starting with UCF on Friday, March 21. They end the weekend playing Houston on Sunday, March 23.

Wrapping up the home stand Colorado will face Texas Tech on Saturday, March 29. The Red Raiders finished fourth in the Big 12 going 20-9 and qualifying for the NCAA Tournament where they won the first round against Denver, before falling to UCLA in the second round.

The last two road matches of the season are against Cincinnati on Apr. 4 and West Virginia on Apr. 6.

Colorado wraps up the regular season against two former Pac-12 opponents in Arizona on Apr. 11 and Arizona State on Apr. 13. The match against the Sun Devils will be senior day.

Following the regular season, Colorado will travel to Waco, Texas for the Big 12 tournament on April 16-20.

Buffs Begin 2025 Season

Colorado will open at the Northwestern Tournament.

By: Aiden Tank, Athletic Communications

BOULDER –
After a successful fall slate the Colorado Buffaloes tennis team will begin the 2025 season at the Northwestern Tournament in Evanston, Ill. starting on Friday.

What has become a tradition, the Buffs arrived back in Boulder after the holiday break following the fall semester and immediately leave to go on a week long training trip, this year in Chicago.

Wrapping up the week will be the first action of the season against three high level teams in Notre Dame, Northern Illinois, and the host Northwestern. Each day of the tournament they will take on a different team. The matches will count towards each player's individual records but won't go towards the overall team record.

"We are excited to be competing this weekend at Northwestern against some strong competition," head coach Anthony Pham said. "We've had a good week of preparation thus far and are looking forward to getting started with dual match play."

Colorado and Pham will look to continue the trend of improving year after year. In the first three seasons under Pham the Buffs have increased their win totals from the year before for only the second time in program history to start a coaching tenure. The other was Nicole Kenneally from 2000-2003.

After a successful fall that saw different Buffs begin and continue to make a name for themselves. Two of the teams' veterans Aya El Sayed and Mila Stanojevic qualified for the ITA All-American Championships and became the first to earn first and second round victories since 2016.

For El Sayed in the same tournament in doubles with partner Pia Rebec they were seeded No. 6, the highest any Colorado student-athlete has ever been at this event.

Regionals became a high point during the fall season with three Buffs taking center stage. In singles freshman Rixt van der Werff blew through to the semifinals winning every match in straight sets before finishing in fourth with Stanojevic coming in third. Both qualified for ITA Sectionals after their performances.

In doubles, Ema Bubalo and Anya Nelson won the ITA Mountain Region Championships becoming the second in school history to earn this accomplishment. In winning regionals, the duo qualified for the NCAA Individual Championship, the first since 2007 and only the fourth time overall.

At the NCAA Individual Championships, Bubalo and Nelson took down Penn State's Olivia Dorner and Maiko Uchijimia to become the first doubles team to advance past the first round. Despite falling in the round of 16 the duo comes into the spring ranked No. 21 in the country and the No. 4 doubles pairing in the Big 12.

"Overall, I think our team this grown a lot over the last five months," Pham on the team. "We've got a really good group who get along well and do a good job of pushing one another. Joining the Big 12 brings new challenges and opportunities for us to navigate. However, our focus will continue to be on controlling what we can control and that is getting after it and continuing to improve each day."

Colorado will look to start the season strong before their first official match on January 17 against Air Force in Colorado Springs.

The team ends the weekend at Northwestern with its 3rd match. As noted in the articles, I don't believe these matches count as official, but beating the Fighting Irish, even unofficially, is always nice. (Now it's on to the official match next week against the AFA.)

Buffs Finish At Northwestern Tournament

By: Aiden Tank, Athletic Communications

EVANSTON, Ill. -The Colorado Buffaloes tennis team wrapped up the first weekend of the 2025 season at the Northwestern Tournament Sunday morning at the Combe Tennis Center.

Colorado didn't waste any time seeing how its team stacked up against the best in the country. The final two days of the Northwestern Tournament the Buffs took the court against host Northwestern yesterday, and Notre Dame today. Both teams made the NCAA Tournament a year ago.

Against the Fighting Irish in the tournament's conclusion, the Buffs won five of the nine matches.

Starting the day in doubles the Buffs came out strong winning two of three which would have clinched the doubles point in a live match. The first to win was No. 21 ranked Ema Bubalo and Anya Nelson, taking down Notre Dame's Carrie Beckman and Bojana Pozder 6-4. The duo won all three doubles matches this weekend, the Buff doubles team to do so.

Aya El Sayed and Mila Stanojevic would have clinched the doubles point against Akari Matsuno and Bianca Molnar. A tightly contested match ended 7-5 in the Buff's favor.
In singles for the second consecutive day, the Buffs split winning three matches, the first of which came from Betina Tokac. After losing her match a day prior, Tokac came out and stamped a 6-4, 6-4 against Nibi Ghosh.

After a few matches went to the Fighting Irish, the Buffs claimed the final two matches of the day starting with Bubalo who had to fight for every point against Carrie Beckman. Despite a straight set win it came down to a tiebreaker in each set. The first set tiebreaker ended in a 7-6 (8) for Bubalo. With the second set in the same situation, Bubalo again came out on top with a 7-6 (1) victory.

The final match of the weekend was capped off by freshman Lera Alexin in what would have been the clinching point in a live match. After taking the first set 6-4, Nibi Ghosh tied it up with a 6-3 second set win. All coming down to the third set, another tiebreaker was needed to settle the score. After going back and forth, Alexin scored the final point to win 7-6 (7) in what would have clinched the match for the Buffs.

"I thought our team continued to take some positive steps forward this weekend," head coach Anthony Pham said on the weekend. "Playing 3 good matches, this early will pay dividends for our squad down the road. Our focus will continue to improve each day and prepare for Air Force and Denver next weekend."

Up Next
The Buffs will return to Colorado and take a quick trip to Colorado Springs to take on Air Force on Jan. 17 at 5 p.m. at the AFA Tennis Courts.

Buffs Open the 2025 Season at Air Force

By: Aiden Tank, Athletic Communications

BOULDER—
After a short trip south to Colorado Springs, the Colorado Buffaloes tennis team will play Air Force in the first official match on Friday at the AFA Tennis Courts.

The 2025 season will continue but also officially start for the Buffs as they take on the Falcons. Last weekend the Buffs participated in the Northwestern Tournament against Northern Illinois, Notre Dame, and the host Northwestern. They competed against each team in a dual-like format, but they did not count towards the overall team record.

While the season is continuing this weekend, the first official match will take place Friday at 5:00 p.m. on the road against Air Force.

"Our team is excited to compete," head coach Anthony Pham said on the weekend. "It was good to get some high-level matches in last weekend at the Northwestern Tournament. It is different now because it's go time, it really counts. The team is excited about being able to compete. It's nice we are on the road at Air Force, so we'll get tested right away."

In what will be the first match of the season for both teams, getting off to a fast start to the season will be important. Colorado is looking to win its first match of the season for the third straight year.

Pham is looking for his team to improve in doubles from last weekend, "We have to do a better job playing doubles overall this weekend. That's been a point of emphasis for us. We know we can put three or four very good teams out there. It just comes down to executing, it's something we've talked about and worked on a lot. That's going to be a big emphasis for us."

The three doubles teams that took the court last weekend included the No. 21 ranked duo in the country Ema Bubalo and Anya Nelson who through the fall and first weekend of the spring have gone 13-1 this season. Their lone loss came against the No. 12 ranked pair Jade Otaway and Isabel Pascual from TCU in the Round of 16 at the NCAA Championships.

The other two pairings of Aya El Sayed and Mila Stanojevic and Lera Alexin and Pia Rebec have had limited experience together on the court with neither having played in a dual match together. They will look to grow together as the season progresses.

Following the season-opening match against Air Force the team will return home and play their home opener against another in-state opponent in Denver on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. hosted at the Meadows Club.

As noted in the post I posted above, the team got the comeback win over Air Force to start the season on Friday. They then had their home opener, and it was also a nice result, as they earned a 5-2 win over DU!

Buffs Complete Comeback in Season Opener

Colorado wins four singles matches to clinch first win.

By: Aiden Tank, Athletic Communications

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –
Four singles wins fueled the comeback for the Colorado Buffaloes tennis team over Air Force in the season opener 4-3 Friday night at the USAF Tennis Courts.

Colorado (1-0) found themselves down 2-0 to Air Force (0-1) after struggling in doubles, losing the first singles match, and having dropped the first set in two other positions, but that changed after senior Betina Tokac stopped the momentum with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles to close the gap, making the score 2-1.

Directly after Aya El Sayed and Mila Stanojevic battled back to win their second sets to force a third set and swing momentum in the Buff's favor. El Sayed was the first to finish off her opponent winning 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.

Stanojevic playing her first career match at No. 1 singles after battling to force the third set but found herself in another tough spot down 2-3 but finished the match winning four straight games to win the match 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 to take the lead 3-2 for the first time all night.

With the lead and the momentum, Pia Rebec was in another battle at No. 5 singles. After taking the first set in a tiebreaker, Rebec was tied at five in the second set with the match on the line and ended the night with two straight games to clinch the set and the match.

"Credit to Air Force for taking it to us in doubles as it's always tough to play here in the Springs," head coach Anthony Pham said. "Proud of the way our team competed and for finding a way to get the job done today. We look forward to getting in a good practice tomorrow and preparing for a good Denver team at home on Sunday."

This marks the third straight season Colorado has started the season 1-0, and nine of the last ten years with the only loss coming in 2021 at the ITA Kickoff.

Buffs Down Denver in Home Opener

By: Aiden Tank, Athletic Communications

BOULDER –
A fast start by the Colorado tennis team enabled the Buffaloes to take down Denver 5-2 in their home opener Sunday afternoon at the Meadows Club.

After starting slow in the season opener at Air Force, Colorado (2-0) flipped the script today against Denver (0-1) taking the doubles point in what has been a point of emphasis for the team.

Lera Alexin and Pia Rebec earned the first win of the day for Colorado with a 6-4 victory over Natalie Cinkova and Hana Novak at No. 3 doubles.

After losing only their second match of the season Ema Bubalo and Anya Nelson clinched the doubles point with a win over No. 47 ranked duo Andrea Beltran and Marley Lambert 6-4. The pair improve their record to 14-2 this season.

"We know we can put three very good teams out there for doubles," head coach Anthony Pham said. "I think we saw more glimpses of it today, but I think we still have more room for growth. I know we are going to be a good doubles team."

The win extends Colorado's regular-season nonconference win streak to 13 matches going back to last season.
Bubalo added another win in straight sets to put an exclamation point on the home opener giving Colorado a 5-2 victory over the Pioneers.

The Pioneers are coming off a 17-7 season and an NCAA Tournament appearance. This is the third team the Buffs have played this season, and they played in the NCAA Tournament a year ago. The first to do so were Northwestern and Notre Dame at the Northwestern Tournament to open the season. Those two were played in a match format but did not count towards the official record.

"Denver is always a very good team," Pham said on Denver. "They make the tournament every year, they win their conference, and are usually a top 40 team, so we knew we had our work cut out for us. I thought we looked more like ourselves today."

UP NEXT
The Buffs will stay in Boulder for the final home nonconference match against Colorado State, another in-state opponent Sunday, at 2:00 p.m. at the Meadows Club.

Buffs Roll Past Rival Colorado State

By: Aiden Tank, Athletic Communications

BOULDER -
A fast start in doubles propelled the Colorado Buffaloes tennis team past the Colorado State Rams 6-1 at the Meadows Club on Sunday afternoon.

Another Rocky Mountain Showdown, another win by Colorado (3-0). Starting strong in doubles with a dominant finish to singles lead to winning seven of eight matches against Colorado State (1-1).

In the two doubles wins by No. 21 Ema Bubalo and Anya Nelson at No. 1, and new doubles pair Lera Alexin and Mila Stanojevic at the No. 3 spot, Colorado outscored CSU 12-3.

"We took some strides again in doubles," head coach Anthony Pham said on the double's performance. "We still have room to grow, but we are proud of the improvement each week."

Singles saw some dominate and some battle through adversity to finish on top. Stanojevic set the tone in singles winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. The next two wins from Bubalo and Tokac battled to come away with wins after CSU claimed their only match. Tokac made a comeback in each set, first to win in a tiebreaker, then in the second to win the match after winning the final three games of the set to extend the lead to 3-1.

Just minutes later, Bubalo finished her comeback at No. 4 singles after winning the final three games of each set to clinch her first match of the season.
The win extends Colorado's regular-season non conference win streak to 14 matches going back to last season.

After the match was clinched, Aya El Sayed Alexin capped off the night. Starting with El Sayed who played the only three-set match tacked on a win at No. 1 singles 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

Alexin blew through her match at No. 6 singles taking all but one game and ending the day with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.

"We know we have a group that is tough to beat day in and day out," Pham said on the team. "I think this match shows just how much depth we have. We can get points from everywhere, whether it's doubles or singles one through six."
...

UP NEXT
Colorado will start a five-match road trip that will last over a month starting against IUPUI on February 1.

"You're always going to have more challenges going on the road playing on different courts, different surfaces, different crowds," Pham said on the upcoming road trip. "This team is battle-tested, at Air Force, at Northwestern, they are ready to go."
